Love Poem
Fearing, rushing, running its course through my body harshly,
clawing, ravaging, rampaging through me, killing.
Always self centered, never thinking twice about my heart‘s beat.
Every night, at the days end, it comes with dusk’s scarlet light. Flooding,
every aspiration, every thought, every intention ripping.
Every heart’s beat with in my chest drowning.
In nights cool breeze, the spreading fire burns away at me.
Every part of me gathered, an army ready for the slaughter.
All of them picked off one by one, all to be massacred by one force.
Each convinced it is right, every hope and dream a martyr.
Everyone, one by one falling, to the unforgiving hunter.
Each crying out to the stone cold executioner.
It twirls and bends, altering your path whenever
It can use one of my dreams, taken from me, used to turn me round.
Never respecting any goals or plans, decisions thought out to perfection.
Running every part of me, slowly, decisively, into the ground.
Preparing my place in the worlds catacomb, my body never to be found
in its dark tunnels, though I scream at its door, not a soul shall hear that desperate sound.
Loves tight binds wrapping around me, suffocating.
Each bolt falling with a large sound, shutting that iron door,
with in me my own dark prison cell made.
Loves fierce blows come down on me crushing, breaking, beating me to the floor,
Where I still lie now, bleeding out, still pleading for more.
Every scrap and bit of logic, sanity it has tore.
Now I lay on the dirt’s soft padding, begging for its cruel beatings,
thinking back to love lost, falling for its binding sorrow.
Shivering in my deep crimson pool, letting its grip around me tighten.
Thinking back, wishing that yesterdays tomorrow
Could have held more of that killing force, couldn’t it let me one more second borrow?
But to worry would be foolish, all those deadly blows will return to me tomorrow.
