Roleplaying characters
This journal will only be used for descriptions and biographies of my roleplaying characters. [Due to the fact that my computer seems to be a bit retarded as of late, some entries may be posted two or three times. Please excuse the redundancy.]
This would have been the complete version of my entrance post into a literate guild thead. The break in the middle is where I split it up, for the complete version would have been, WAY too long. ^^;

Her body tensed beneath the thick covers as the annoyingly incessant buzz of the alarm invaded her peaceful dream. Great....left the damn alarm clock on again. With a frustrated groan, she rolled over, blindly reaching out for the clock and slamming her fist on the snooze button once she found it. With a short growl, Linh rolled over and yanked the covers over her shoulders. She fell asleep immediately, her breathing deepening within seconds. The peaceful dream from before continued.

Unfortunately, the sun decided to position itself outside her window to where its rays beamed directly at her eyes. With a pained squeak of complaint, Linh squeezed her eyes more tightly shut, but that did nothing to lessen the steady bombardment of light. With a huff, she sat up, her body having been disturbed enough by now that she could not go back to sleep if she had wanted to. Sitting up, the girl made sure to face away from the window and sunlight. Her mouth opened in a loud yawn; her thin arms reached above her head as she stretched. She stood slowly, her muscles screaming in wild protest as she stumbled into the bathroom. Gazing at herself in the mirror, Linh smiled crookedly, noting the strands of hair that hung by her face, no longer bound into the braids by ponytail holders. She leaned closer to the mirror, studying the faint circles under her eyes. "Maybe I stayed up too late practicing," she muttered, turning on the water.

Linh stared at the steady stream of water that poured from the sink faucet for a few seconds before something clicked in her mind, telling her to brush her teeth. Once she had brushed her teeth, she undid the braids and brushed her hair. Linh pulled her thick hair back into a ponytail, using two ties, like she always did. Glancing at her contact case, she grimaced, not wanting to deal with sticking things in her eyes at the moment. Instead, she picked up her thickly rimmed glasses, putting them on, but banging into the side of the doorway as she left the bathroom. She shuffled to her closet, raising her right arm to block the light as her left arm swatted at the air, as if she were trying to hit a physical form the sunlight had taken.

Opening the closet door, she plucked a uniform from the many other sets in her closet. Tossing it lightly onto the bed, Linh trudged to her dresser, leaving the closet door open as she pulled a drawer open and grabbed a pair of knee socks. These, she tossed onto the rectangle of carpet inside her closet. Taking the few steps back to her bed, Linh pulled off her pajamas, folding each article of clothing and placing them in a neat stack on her bed. Even though she now wore only her underwear and bra, her body did not feel cold. The SOY rooms were never too hot, nor too cold, but just the perfect temperature. Perfect. Like they wanted their students to be.

She quickly dressed in her uniform, pulling on a pair of biker shorts underneath her pleated skirt. One needed to use precautions with pleated skirts. Leaving her blazer on the bed, Linh walked back over to her closet, her pajamas in one hand, the hanger on the other. Standing on her toes, she placed her pajamas on the rack in her closet, then hung the hanger on the thin bar. Plopping down on her butt, Linh pulled on her knee socks, making sure they were even before reaching for a pair of the uniform shoes each student was required to wear. She shoved each foot into a shoe, tying the laces of each into a neat bow, then double knotting the laces. Standing quickly to minimize the pain from soreness, Linh scurried around her bed, quickly straightening the sheets, fluffing her pillows. In short, making her bed. Once she finished, Linh studied her bed critically, then fixing a corner of her blanket. She looked at her bed again and had an incessant urge to smooth out the covers again. She did this several times, feeling a need to fix minor details that any other person would normally ignore, or not notice altogether.

Five minutes later, she finished with her bed and stepped to her closet, flicking the light off. Then on. Then off. Then on. Off. On. Off. A total of seven times. Then, after placing a hand on the doorknob of each door at the exact same time, she closed the closet doors. Walking briskly to her study desk, she grabbed her dark blue messenger bag [which, coincidentally, matched the color of SOY uniforms] that held her books, as well as a change of clothes. Adjusting the strap on her shoulder, Linh opened her door and walked into the hallway. Just before her door shut, Linh frowned, turning and marching back into her room. Something had been wrong about her exit. Letting the door close completely behind her, she opened the door, stepping into the empty hallway again. Again, a feeling of wrongness rose inside of her, causing her to quickly turn and reenter her room. Her brow wrinkled in slight confusion as she opened the door and walked out of her room, this time, noting that her left foot stepped out first. The uneasy feeling within her remained. Backing through her door, Linh let it close in front of her before she reached for the doorknob and turned it, pulling the door open and once more stepping into the hallway. This time, her right foot exited first; she sighed contentedly as the uneasy feeling drained from her body. "I guess that's what some people call 'having OCD'. Funny, I've never noticed that before..." Linh mused. Turning, she headed down the hallway to the stairs.

After sliding down the railing, Linh walked to the cafeteria, her left foot entering first. "Goshdarnit!" she muttered frustratedly, stamping a foot on the tile floor before turning and walking back out of the cafeteria. Starting from a couple steps back, she entered again. "That's better," she breathed out, sighing softly as she stood just inside the doorway of the cafeteria. Glancing around, she studied the setting carefully, noting things that seemed significant at the time. A group of students, and two teachers. One girl with a worried expression. Another bearing an expression of frustration and annoyance. A boy, whom she did not know. Mr. Bolgemolny, a teacher she knew only by word and appearance; she had never had one of his classes before. The other teacher she recognized as Dr. Morgan, whose classes she did not have either. After quickly analyzing the cafeteria scene, Linh decided that the best action to take at the moment would be to go unnoticed.

Comments would be much luffed! C=
