I've not been on lately mainly due to craziness, not having a job (and therefore going for broke and enjoying my time off), and not having internet at my house. Luckily the Husband is a Kinko's employee so he lets me use his internet at his work.
I am quite happy today because I finally got a really really sexy corset from Frederick's.
But I had to drive over 30 min to San Jose to buy it (annoying).
The only "sexy" lingerie shop in Santa Cruz is this one shop that makes "sexy" clothing for skinney little waifs with no breasts. I have DD to DDD breasts and they only carry 38 D's at the highest.
Which makes me feel markedly unsexy because then I start going "OMG OMG, what if they think that women of my size and shape CANNOT be sexy? What if I'm not sexy period! I should get a sheet, cut some holes for my head and arms and get it over with. *froth and die*"
And then I go to a store like Fredericks, and I find that everything's in the size for a mature and bodacious woman like myself, and I feel all better.
But I'm still pissed that "sexy waif clothing store" is the only one in my city.
Makes me want to deck myself out in my most schmexy clothing and strut into the store amidst the 18 year olds blushing and the normal-sized women feeling like they're hippos in comparison to the sizes available.
HAH! You can still be sexy, even if you have big boobs and some pudge! SO THERE!
In other news, I am very happy because this Friday is a housewarming party for some friends, and it's Pirate Themed! Corset will come in handy, indeed.
And Saturday=Ren Fair.
And hopefully, that guy with Office Max will call me and schedule me for next week and I'll move up to management and get the 40 hrs/week plus benefits promised.
