Possible reasons to commit suicide
First of all I should say that I am not suicidal, nor do I condone suicide. If you are thinking of killing yourself please PM me. I would be more than happy to talk, listen, or as 'Elf Lord' put it, blow some sunshine up your a**. This list, in it's entirety, comes from an M&R thread entitled:
Is commiting suicide wrong? I decided to combine the entire collection of post into one list, if only for my own amusement.

1: Depression; long term or short term depression can lead to suicidal tendancies
2: Dilusion; A person with no conscious state of reality(ie: schizophrenia)
is likely to take there own life without logical justifcation
3: Religous/Social ideals; A person defending there ideals may commit suicide in a form of extreme debate(ie: I will die for my beliefs)
4: Curiosity; (my favorite) one may belive that the only way to attain knowledge of an afterlife is to enter the afterlife.
5: Vainity; A person who cannot live through disfigurement or disability
6: Pain; Extreme physical pain a well as pyhcolgical pain can be a reason for suicide.
7: Acceptance of loss; One does not have to suffer from clinical depression to kill them selves. Sudden loss of loved ones can trigger a mourning which leads to suicide.
8: Pride; This one is difficult to explain. An example would be if a wealthy person lost their finacial status, the pride of that person could be depremental. which also leads to:
9: Poverty; Extreme poverty can be difficult to live with and may seem to some as a justification for suicide.
10: Sin; Yes sin. According to the new testament Judas Iscariot commited suicide because he felt he had turned over innocent blood. In gnostic texts he did so in order to beat Jesus to heaven and ask him for forgiveness.
11: Poetic Justice; Someone is going to kill you so you opt for suicide.
12: Love; Like the ever so famous tale of 'Romeo and Juliet' this, of course falls under poetic justice and religion, because you can't meet up with the one you love if there is no afterlife.
13: Deus ex Machina; You commit suicide on a whim that your entire life is actualy an unexplainable dream.
14: Persuasion; Suicide as a catalyst to effect social change.
15: Erotic Asphyxiation; In an attempt to increase sexual gratification, you temporarily cut off your air supply. Too bad you failed to restore it before it was too late.
16: Possession; An evil spirit enters your body and commands self-termination. Whoops. Better talk to Jesus (Mark 5:13). Oh wait. You're dead. Nevermind.
17: Revenge; An attempt to hurt those who care about you but cause emotional pain.(I tried and luckily failed at that one about ten years ago!)
18: Nihilism; You didn't give a ********. You still don't.
19: Atheism; It's kind of like a long sleep anyway...
20: Disillusionment; Someone finally told you the obvious: You are not a beautiful snowflake. Apparently handling the bottom of a bridge was easier than actual reality. So much for that third grade self-esteem bullshit.
21: Apocalypse Now; You've realized you're not going to be able to re-insinuate yourself into a peaceful society after the war. Stand tall and hope the enemy snipers aren't blind.
22: Jack's eyes are open; You realize everything you are is false. You suffer from disassociative identity disorder and your alternate personality, is evil.
23: Self-Sacrifice; You pushed the kid out of the way at the last moment, but you bought it instead.
24: Honor; A code of honor known as bushido, which dates back to the days of fuedal Japan, stipulates that failure can only be redeemed by death.

25. Boredom. You have nothing to do, and too lazy to get off your fat a** to do something. So you kill yourself.
26. Laziness. Too damn lazy to eat.
