As I was cleaning up the mess the kids had made, I heard a yell and something fall from in Caden and Dural's room.
"What's going on now??" I asked, rushing into the room.
"Mommy! Dural's different!" Caden screamed, pointing at Dural. She was crying with tears streaming down her face. She was on the floor against the wall and she was a bit bruised up. It looked as if she was thrown against the shelf because the shelf had been knocked over.
"What did you do?!" I screamed, looking at Dural. His eyes had become a deep blood red, and his pupils were slit like a cat's eyes. He was breathing heavily and his fists were flamed. I noticed he had a devil-like tail swaying behind him and wings as black as night had spread out from his back.
"I didn't do anything!" Caden cried. "He tried telling me messing up the house was my fault,but I told him it was his! We fought about it."
Dural growled a bit in frustration and threw a fireball at Caden. I rushed to her quickly and protectively hovered over her. The fireball missed us, hitting a spot on the wall right above us.
"Dural stop it!" I yelled, rushing over and grabbing his shoulders.
I must have startled Dural. His tail and wings disappeared in an instant and his eyes returned to normal.
He looked at me as if he didn't know what he did wrong. Then looking around, he noticed Caden on the floor and everything a mess. He began to cry and ran out of the room.
"Caden, please clean up this room a bit for me, okay?" I asked, looking at Caden as I left the room to follow Dural.
"But--" She started to say. "Just do it." I cut in.
Dural had ran into my room, slamming the door behind him. I knocked quietly before coming in,and saw him laying face down on the bed, crying into the pillow.
"I'm sorry mommy." He said, his voice muffled.
"It's okay, sweetheart." I said, sitting down on the bed and rubbing his back.
I sat with him for almost an hour, not saying anything. There was nothing to say, I was still a bit shocked and confused.
Dural had eventually cried himself to sleep. After that hour, I left the room, shutting the door softly behind me.
"Is Dural okay mommy?" Caden asked,coming out of her room.
"He's fine, just leave him be for now." I said, forcing a smile.
After I finished cleaning the house, I sat down to think about things. Suddenly, I felt a strange gust of wind.I could swear I heard something too.I looked about and saw noone.
