I actually drank a bit during our ritual (I suppose) of anime midwest this year. Didn't drink enough to get shitfaced thankfully but I was well aware of my impaired mental state. Who would've known rum and coke can go down smooth after the first one. It actually managed to make me take my a** to the karaoke room and sing a song, although next time I'll pick something a bit more karaoke-friendly. Wish my brother actually bothered to eat before going to town on the booze since he got plastered. His plans for drunken Diva X in the game room? Out the goddamn window as he goes from happy drunk to sad drunk in about 5 minutes then passes out. All in all it was a pretty fun time although I'm gonna pester the s**t out of his dumb a** not eating before slamming like 5 rum and cokes. Next year's event will be a bit earlier since we snagged a room for ACen so I'm looking forward to that.
August gave us a couple surprises. Biggest one was us getting a new cat. One of our dad's wife's (I guess stepmom would be accurate) friends was giving away a cat. I think it was an outdoor cat that they just kinda took in. Unfortunately they had a cat of their own and the two didn't get along so they had to keep our cat stuck in a room to let their cat roam the house. I guess they finally decided it wasn't fair to her and we ended up getting alerted. After the initial shock of moving to a new place, she's become more used to us and the new place. She's definitely feistier than Buster ever was, but that's to be expected. Here's hoping we'll give her the best years of her life.
On a less serious note, Weiss Schwarz regionals also popped up in August. I mostly redeemed myself by going 3-3 instead of going negative. Hell out of our little group I think I did the best, funnily enough. Konosuba is still a trash ******** series relying on giving their waifus hilariously overpowered abilities to be good but I've managed to win 2 out of 3 of those match-ups there. I've grown way weary of the game as of now so I'll take a nice little break, only going to locals now and then. I'm hoping all of us gets the sets we want in English (my brother is patiently waiting for Diva X to drop.)
September was ok. Nothing happened in September lmao.
