My grandma died yesterday, now that it's 2:30am. Idk what happened. She seemed pretty okay. She kept sliding down on the hospital bed so we went to pull her up to sit her up to eat and she just became unresponsive and went into cardiac arrest. I started doing chest compressions and mom put the meter on her finger that reads heart beat and oxygen level. She was hit and miss there and she took a couple breaths. The emts took over and they took her to the hospital. She still didn't make it though. I'm shocked and kind of numb but my brain is crying. I don't think I fully understand it yet. We've been care takers of my grandparents for over 7 years. A good amount of that time we didn't have a car or a dependable one. We don't currently have a car and we live out in the middle of no where. What do you do when all you know is being home taking care of someone? I'm kind of glad we have so many animals because I'd be so lost without something to take care of. I need to start asking around and see if anyone knows of a job and a way to get there. I have got to get some form of income. All we had was my grandma's social security. We have a bit of a life insurance but it's not going to last a long, long time.
