Rocket Launcher - Poppy was kind of hard to match, but this was still a very fun avatar to make! I had Kid Icarus on my mind while I made this avatar and went back and forth equipping the head wings on Winter Mist Messenger which, as you can tell were completely omitted from the final look. This was also a thought of if Ancient Greece was equipped with modern weaponry/technology.
Praying - I wanted to start off the month of December with a fitting color scheme and the Ponderosa scheme provided just that! More than anything I just wanted to match the arm mod holding the lantern which turned into a prayer or wish casting avatar. It's one of my top favorite avatars that I've made.
Snowglobe - For the 2nd week of December I made this "Winter Wonderland" avatar in which I wanted to create my own scene in a snow globe. I found out that not many backgrounds work very well with the snow globe item as they clip out of the globe area. I was glad to find that the background in Crow's End not only fit in the globe, but also with the Winter idea that I wanted to make. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep the dog with the look until I was told that we were both matching gold/blue in our upper chest area, lol.
Caroler - For the 3rd week of December I planned this Christmas Caroler avatar. Unfortunately for me the leg mod that I originally planned on using was completely unavailable in the Marketplace, but I was able to find and create something that looked a lot better than what was originally planned! What's even better is that I was gifted some really great art for this avatar made by user Trojan.exe. 3nodding
Elf Shopper - For the final week of December I have this busy Christmas Elf that's battling it out at the mall doing some last minute Christmas present shopping which was also something I did myself IRL, lol. I had a lot of trouble looking for certain finishing touches like Liam's Workout & Oh My Festive Gourd, but boy was it a huge relief once they appeared in the MP!
New Years - An avatar for the new year! I planned this avatar MONTHS before new years eve around the time the Starry Concertino Tempo item came out. This is my absolute favorite avatar so far and a great way to start 2018. I made this avatar based around the idea of a tarot card or a really cool looking suit in a deck of playing cards which explains the serious expression and the nose to fit a similar art style of said cards.
Snow Travelers - I also planned these earlier last year for the month of January. I knew January was going to come with chilly temperatures, but nothing like what actually went down (32 and below with freezing rain in the South is... burning_eyes ) so it was definitely a more perfect time to show them off!
Dog Pile - The base of this avatar was the leg mod pose of the "Puppy Love" item. After that I really wanted to keep on stacking on any dog poses that I could fit into the avatar to create this dog pile where everyone is snuggling up to keep warm for the Winter. heart
Koala - When the "Let's Hibearnate" Gatcha came out I knew I had to have this cozy koala item mostly because of the blanket pose, but especially because of the resemblance to Komala which is one of my favorite Normal-type Pokemon from Generation 7!
Sherbet - I wanted to make an avatar with a color scheme I'd never use and I came up with this fairy prince theme that I wanted to resemble the Fairy King Truesdale card from Yu-Gi-Oh. While I'm still not too sure about the crown, it was all I could afford at the time when I came down to searching for Sherbet items.
Valentine's Day - For Valentine's Day 2018 I made this blushing couple avatar. I made this months before the actual day as the True Lovebirds item was released and was at a very low price at the time so I figured why not do something in celebration?
Gaiaversary - For Gaia's 15th Anniversary I decided to dress up in that certain style you'd see back in 2004-2007 complete with the Flame Shirt and Flame Pants! Nostalgia has me very attached to this avatar and it's probably because the 13 year old me is pleased to finally have this look, lol.
Deer Hunter - An avatar to seal the end of a chilly week in February! Winter Hunt's Rifle pose is what the avatar is centered around. Finding a matching shirt/sweater proved to be pretty difficult as well because either nothing fit the theme I was going for or the shades of brown were just too different. (No Deer were harmed in the making of this avatar.)
Paparazzi - This started off with a "Uber Driver from Hell" theme, but the "Paparazzi" label makes a little bit more sense. My avatar is basically a famous socialite trying to escape the front pages of the ruthless tabloids hence the large glasses, scarf, and ticked off expression. 3nodding
Birthday (Cheers) - This avatar was heavily inspired by Yuan Shao of the Dynasty Warriors series, mainly Dynasty Warriors 8. I made this avatar specifically as another New Years avatar hence the Champagne pose, but I decided against using it in January and instead ended up saving it in celebration of my 25th birthday that was on Monday ( March 12th, 2018 ). Side note: I had a really great day! Cheers!
St. Patrick's Day - I wasn't sure whether or not this counted as wearing enough green for St. Patrick's Day, but this avatar was still a joy to create! I was able to make this avatar with the birthday gifts I received and that made it all the more special. heart
Statue - Here's my first attempt at a terrarium avatar and I don't think I did too badly on it! The theme I went for is basically an abandoned shrine/statue being taken over by nature. It also works an avatar for the Spring which made me want to save into it even more. I hope I can make more of these kinds of avatars soon!
