This is the low down on what's up with me.
Not quite sure how to pronounce Japanese words. I notice that three-syllable words tend to have the first syllable accented, two-syllable words have the first syllable emphasized, and four-syllable words...? And then, when a suffix is attached to a three-syllable word, it sounds like the second syllable is then accented. For example, the name Sonomi is pronounced SO-no-mee, and then with a -chan, it is So-NO-mee-chan.
