At midnight the clock shall chime its deathly call,
All that is held dear shall begin to fall.
The illusions that held our world together shall start to shatter,
The shards of friends, family, and love will scatter.
My family attempts to say they are the ones who shall not leave,
But the lies they have weaved will not leave me deceived.
At the Clocks Toll they shall know that they could never hope to change me.
My friends try their best to say they shall always be by my side,
They attempt to help me through my troubled times by being a guide.
But they don't know the doubt which i hold in my heart,
They don't see that on the inside I know one day we will part.
For now we all smile and hope for a future which we may all be happy,
Though surely it is known that no matter how hard we may try at that clocks damned call all which they have tried shall merely be for naught.
The one whom i loved says to hold strong for we will be together,
But that i know is just a dream for there never is a forever.
Shes sweet and does her best to prove me wrong,
but there is nothing that can be done for those who are no longer strong.
Soon that clock shall toll and that sweet illusion shall crack and all i shall be left with is the bitter truth unable to ever put the shattered pieces of my illusion together once more.
