While showering, (Yes, showering. Awkward, ain't it?) I thought up some reasons for why I want to someday become an author and write books, you know, a word smith of sorts. I'm going to type a 'my top five' kind of thing below. Countdowns be fresh, yo'.
Don't talk to me about them, though. I feel weird sharing goals and dreams with people, even close friends. The only person who I'm really comfortable sharing stuff like that with is Sarah, and only Sarah.

3. I get to play 'god.' I'll explain, you see, I'm a bit of a controlling person at times. I like things to go my way, and, although I'm good at hiding it, I tend to get a little grumpy when things don't go the way I want them to. When writing, I always get my way. I create a world, I create people, and I can do whatever I want to said world and people. Live? Sure. Die? Why not. Hot, lusty love scene? Uhhh...(Am I blushing?). Anyway, I can do and make whatever I want while writing and the power feels pretty good.

2. I don't want to be forgotten. I hate the thought of being another pebble thrown into the ocean of the world. Sure, there's a small ripple, maybe it'll catch an eye or two, but it never lasts. It weakens and fades, forgotten, another rock lost at the bottom of the sea. I want to be more than that. I want to be an island, or even the whole, vast sea itself. I want to be remembered, to live on through my books. Whenever someone reads it, I'll become alive again, sharing my story with them through my own written words.

1. Well, it'd be kinda cool if somewhere in this big, wide worlds of ours, someone picked up my book, read it, and decided "hey, I like this character and what he believes in, I'll make him my idol." That's my true, and strongest goal and reason for becoming a writer. To encourage someone to better themselves or to even enhance someone else's life through morals they learned in my book.
