Junior year is officially over!
Yesterday was a great way to end it! I worked at the post office (my favorite place)! Afterwards, I ran into my friend, Connor, and we talked for about 2 hours about nothing in particular and made plans to hang out with some other friends. I went back to my apartment and left at 5 for my friend Kaz's graduation BBQ with my roommate. After about an hour, we met up with 2 other friends and went out to eat before heading to the Avengers at 7 (I'd seen it already, but they hadn't).
The food was delicious and my boyfriend actually called me during (which he'd never done before! whee ) and asked me to hang out. I mentioned I had plans, but I'd call him later with more info. Unfortunately, the restaurant was super busy, because it was a Friday night, so we didn't leave until 7:30. We were going to try the movie anyway, but there was no one there selling tickets, so we went to the park! We played on this 6 person teeter totter, merry-go-round, swings, and the play set! It was wonderful. Myself and my friend Katie went to the bathroom and when we came out, the other two were gone, so we just left without them XD But we turned around to fetch them and found them walking down the street (they saw us leave and were hiding on purpose).
Anyway, we headed back to my apartment. Katie remembered that I mentioned me and my roommates buying an ice cream cake to celebrate the end of the semester, but we'd never really planned it. We decided that it would be a good idea (since there would be 5 people eating instead of just 3), so we grabbed my other roommate and ran to DQ. Returned to the apartment, chatted, danced, and had a little cake party.
Meanwhile, I contacted Connor, asking if my man could join us for video games, and he was cool with it. I knew he would be. Invited my boyfriend and he came over. We all went to Connor's and ate all kinds of food (he went around with his friend and stole the stuff people left in the communal fridges, so he had plenty!). Played Mario Party, Wii Party, and Just Dance 3, because we're super cool kids!
I felt a little bad, because I didn't talk to my boyfriend much, but he was kind of glued to the game and I didn't know how to work with that. Didn't really interact with him at all, because I don't think he's into PDA type things either. I'm so clueless! gonk But it wasn't just me, because he didn't say much to me either. He talked to my friends more than me XD But at least they got on well. I'm happy about that.
Regardless of my awkwardness, it was a wonderful day! And, on my way home today, my parents and I stopped to look at a car and, BAM!, I'm going to have a vehicle this summer! The original plan was that I was going to pay half upfront and pay my parents back later. But they changed their minds about that and decided to get the car themselves so me and my 16 year old brother can share it. I think it's a little unfair, considering I'm 21 and have wanted a car for years, but I don't mind sharing as long as my brother isn't selfish about it. I shared a car with my other brother before and it basically turned into his car. I barely drove it. Then he crashed it and bought his own car. It wasn't fair at all, but my 16 year old brother is pretty chill... He's just really popular, so I don't know how well it work... We'll see!
I'm excited for summer!
