Before tonight, January 6th, 2006, the worst movie I had ever seen was Spy Kids 3.
Today I sadly, but rightfully, knock SK3 down to #2 as I declare the new worst movie I've ever seen:
BLOODRAYNE
BloodRayne is actually my favorite Playstation game. It may in fact be my most favorite videogame(if not Sonic the Hedgehog...oh Sega, come back.) on any platform.
This horrible "film" premiered today and my friend Kenny took me out to go see it. Knowing that I love the game and am just a plain ole fan of videogame-to-movie movies.
1. They pretty much entirely changed the storyline for the movie. A few elements of the game were kept in the movie which in the end just proved to be confusing to anyone who never played the game. Also, to anyone who did play the game you'd still be confused except here and there you'd go, "Oh...yeah, I think that was in the game...maybe."
2. The effects were horrible and cheap(so were the costumes and wigs).
3. The fight scenes were very uninspired, repetative and too long for what was in them.
4. Accents weren't really...constant. Some of the actors seemed to have no accent, or accents that just didn't make sense. The movie never said where it was supposed to be taking place. In the game it took place in about the 1930's-ish...London(?) and it moved around from there(Lousiana, Argentina, Germany[?]). This one took place in the 1600's...maybe. And was in Romania-esque land.
5. The acting was crappy. And for the movie to have Sir Ben Kingsley, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Madsen and a brief appearance by Billy Zane in it was just...I hope they're all very very ashamed...and disgusted.
6. Overexposed breasts, disgusting and uneccessary erotica, and one tremendously raunchy, disgusting, grotesque, embarrasing incredibly unneeded sex scene. I felt like I was watching PORNOGRAPHY, cause it had nothing to do with the movie(just another gratis raunchy sex-scene), and I walked out while this scene was taking place.
I was so angry and embarassed for myself that while I walked out of that movie I cursed very loudly and was shaking as I walked.
I'm so dissapointed and upset and so very very disgusted. I can't say the word "disgusted" enough about this movie.
No one will really enjoy this movie unless to you, boobs+sex make a movie.
