The day i left town was the 23rd and i didnt leave till late so i ended up in port after midnight. i worked 3 jobs in one day! this was not planned, it was spur of the moment cuz char called me to work at the golf club for a lunch banquet so i said yes and had to do my deliveries before i left and then cashiering at the wholesale club afterwards. i have worked 2-3 jobs in one day before but never with 1 hour intervals. i usually had way more time in between so i could come home, but not that day! i ran myself ragged! i had only one customer who drove me nuts this time. it was a lady in line who decided to answer her cell phone while talking to me and making her purchase! it was so annoying cuz some ppl can multi-task but she obviously couldnt. she counted out her money very slowly one coin or bill at a time! this was pissing off the other guy in line so i quietly and politely suggested that since her eldest son was with her that maybe he could handle the cellphone or the money. so she took my suggestion and gave him the phone and then finished her purchase. the guy behind her told me that i did a good job handling it and i was agreeable cuz usually customers dont answer their cellphones while in line and even if they do, they tell the person they'll call back cuz they're busy. obviously this lady didnt think to do that and had to take up everyone else's time.

xmas eve was at my opa & frida's place. no turkey, instead we had traditional german meat dishes like roladen, meatballs & beer gravy, and goulash. very interesting i must say. for presents i got my usual food hamper from them, kitchen stuff and clothing. the kitchen stuff i left behind cuz me and my roomie share everything and we already had stuff like that so my mom is storing it for now. the clothing was just a zipper vest for outer wear but they gave me a L and well due to my broad shoulders & chest i always wear XL. so at first i was worried i had to exchange it but it ended up that i could switch with mom cuz they got her a XL in a different color and she fits L, so we traded. no more worried there. those grandparents obviously didnt take time this year to ask everyone what size they wear. usually they do, but i guess they forgot. sweatdrop
xmas day was at dad's and he got me a cute book called "bad cat" it has cute pics of cats doing weird things. adorable
and janet got me these neat candles from mexico. later at mom's i got another food hamper and some knicknacks & clothes. mom needed 3 acupuncture treatments cuz her back went kaputt! shes better now though.
boxing day i went back down south island and mom had to borrow frida's car to drop me at the nanaimo depot cuz her car wasnt fixed yet. i slept on the bus and listened to etheridge and bon jovi on my cd player. i got home a few hrs ago. i can sleep in cuz i dont work till 4pm tomorrow. cool
