In a world that gives you nothing...
Rose struggled at the though of being alone. Even one she cared about...Gone. But she took the thought from her shattered mind, and kicked it away, before walking slowly down the road, heading for home. It wasn't far now. But as she walked, her mind went back heavily to the fire. Her red hair and eyes seemed out of place in the simple village. But then again, she was unique. There was no one quite like her. But, then again, specialness came at a price.
When the raiders came, Rose's parents had warned her to stay close to home. Her world was not one like ours; It was fulled with creature, demons and beasts, angels and warriors. But, the very essence was there; behind the killing fights, and the horrid men, lay many forces; Greed, Lust, Terror, Hatred. And, nothing was spared, when they came to ill and lay waste. And take whatever they could.
With a sigh, Rose stared at the ground ahead of her. Her home was on the edge of the forest; Between them, a long stretch of thin road, lined by huge trees. trees, that could hid all manner of horrid creatures, waiting in the dark. Lots of things, that could hurt her. And, as the sun began to set, Rose hurried down the road, aware of the dangers around her
