Mmmm Butter Toast is like The Fish to my Sea.
Anywhere 1
I tried to fight back the tears but it was too late. Soon enough hot drops of salty water were falling from my eyes, carressing my jaw in a natural path.

Now instead of walking I was running through the crowded hallway, trying to hide the fact that I was crying. I headed toward the gym--it had some indoor bleachers for pep rallies and such that I often hid under after school to relax or read. This would be the perfect place to go now. As I raced in the gym, a couple guys leaving from basketball practice saw me. I didn't care.

I made my way through the bleachers, carefully not making any noise as I chose my spot and sat down to cry. The sensation of tears had started to stop sooner than I had expected. About five minutes had passed when I noticed a figure outside the bleachers heading toward where I was located. Me being me, I hid by stuffing my face into my hands, the solution being the first thing I could think of.

"Ivy," I heard a familiar male voice say. With that, I don't know why, but I started to immediatly sob in my hands. I felt someone's arms wrap around me. "Ivy," Jake said again.

I looked up and saw Jake's peircing grey eyes staring into mine with concern. His black medium-cut hair was still perfect after basketball practice. I reached up and touched my earring--a small silver hoop in only my right ear, to match Jake's identical earring in his left.

"How did you know I was in here?" I asked him.

"Jeff told me. He saw you running in here."

"I now resent Jeff." We both laughed lightly, still aware of the sorrow looming around the area. His caring stare came back down to me, and I got the message "What is wrong?" from his eyes.

I didn't want to answer, to break the silence of our eyes locking.

"I had another vision, Jake." I told him, the bravery in my voice fairly scarce. He knew what I meant, but didn't say anything. I went on. "She's going to get hurt. She's going to die. Mom is going to die. I'm sure of it. Logan was able to heal her last time... but I don't know if he can again." I started to cry again as I spoke the words. Jake was shocked in the news. His eyes spread wide, his worried stretched out mouth went to a small line.

He kissed the top of my head, and started to rock me in his arms. He rested his chin on my head, raking his fingers through my long brown hair.

Jake is a warlock. He grew up until he was twelve in a magic town located in a forest far from here called Lastashi. Then he moved to modern civilization so he could adapt and keep his powers a secret. That's how he got here, in a normal school. He lives in a normal house in a normal neighborhood. We ran into eachother in school when he was fourteen, I was a year younger. I was sent to the office with a friend for vandalising the school's trashcans, and he was there to recieve an award from the principal. We had to wait outside the office, and while we did, we talked. We became close after that. When he turned fifteen, he told me that he was a warlock. That's when I found out. He hadn't told me earlier, because he thought I would tell someone else which would be extremely dangerous to him and the rest of witches and warlocks of his clan. But he trusted me. I trust him with everything.

When I turned fifteen, he offered to make me a witch. He had known the interest I had in them and their spells. I ,of course, took the offer, and after shedding some blood from my fingertips, having a spell performed on me, I was a real witch. Jake has been teaching me spells and ways to hide my powers from normal people. I am still learning from him, and he is still learning from his elders. I am now sixteen and he's seventeen.

I love him so much.

I don't know what I would do without him.

He stopped rocking me in his arms and asked, "Are you sure that this is going to happen?" I nodded, but then shrugged. "When?" he egged me on for information. I shrugged again. Words were too much for me right now. "Don't worry, Ivy. She'll be alright. If Logan can't heal her, I can help too. Other people can help. You can, too."

I looked up with that. "I can?" This made me feel much better if I could help save my mother's life. He nodded.

"Yes, Ivy, You can." He smiled weakly.

"Will you teach me?" I asked.

He nodded with a grin on his face.

"What about my visions, though?"

"I'm not so sure, maybe we can ask my Dad. Like I said before, we havent had many witches or warlocks that have visions. Come over after school. I can drive you."

I nodded, then smiled. I looked up at Jake's face, and reached my head up to brush my lips against his. He wiped the tears from my cheeks. It was almost the end of the school day, we could easily sit under the bleachers for the rest of the time. That was something I wanted badly. I asked him.

"Sure. One class of bioglogy doesn't matter to me," He laughed. He rested my head against his chest, and wrapped his arms around me. I tried to keep my eyes open, and succeeded for long, but I soon drifted to sleep.

I woke up to Jake shifting my position from where I was to him cradling me like a baby. I smiled. He kissed my forehead. We sat there for a while until the bell rang.
