Royal Bonds 2.
Aliana sat outside for the remainder of her lesson period, her teacher had become so flustered with argumentative ways and point of view that he'd over heated himself and sent her away. She couldn't go back to her room, the maids where in their cleaning what, in Aliana's eyes didn't need to be cleaned. Her books would be put order, her clothes would hung up and put away, her bed would be made and they'd move her horse riding stuff around! And they would mess with her jewelry! She knew they would, they did it EVERY TIME! Silently the 12year old girl fumed at the havoc she knew would befall her room. She didn't care if she was the kings niece, she didn't care if she was suppose to be lady, she didn't care that she was suppose to have powers from her father or powers from her mother. Slowly the girl let out a scream and scared the nearby maid into a scared dead run.

Hands on her wooden weapons she stormed from the halls and into the court yard. "Master Dugra!" she wailed loudly tears nearly bubbling out of her crystal blue eyes. She was addressing the old warrior of the cavalry. Tall and gray haired the man turned to look at his only female student and smiled broadly despite the young girls apparent distress. "The maids are in my room again! They'll mess with my stuff for Stepper!" The little girl ran up to the man who was perched on the gate to the corral where his older recruits where running cavalry drills. "They will, will they?" he asked softly as the girl jumped up to sit on the gate with him.
"Yes, they do it all the time Dugra." Aliana softly sniffed, very few things could upset the little girl but having her room messed with was always one of them. "You know it's only every other week that they come to your room Ali." The old man looked down at her as she pouted silently. She had learned not to pout with sound around the man after the first few weeks of knowing him. "I know.. but.. they always mess things up and then I can't find things.." Aliana tossed her head slightly as she watched the horses gallop from end to end of the field in perfect unison before her. "Child I've seen your room before the maids have cleaned it. It's a disaster area, books across one half, weapons mixed with it and clothes on the other half. If I didn't wear boots I'd of slit my toe open on that double bladed dagger of yours." Dugra patted the girls shoulder before sliding off the fence and landing on the ground. "Come, I know just the thing to take your mind off the maids." he waved a hand for her to follow.
Slowly she pushed her lower lip forward and looked at the man who nearly doubled as a father when hers was away. She took in his tall frame, whipcord lean from years of riding and he had a funny sway from it too, Aliana found the man interesting. Slowly Dugra frowned when he saw the girl refuse to follow him but rolled his shoulders and started to walk on. As he did so Aliana jumped from the fence and tackled him from behind in a hug. Her head cam up to just under his breast bone so her tackles drove the air from him sometimes but not this time, it just sent him stumbling a few paces. He smiled and tugged her arm so she came around to look at him. "See Yoa?" he asked kneeling down to look at her better. The girl turned her head to look at the men, she knew almost all of the soldiers by first name. "Yeah." she replied as her eyes took in the tall lanky man leaning against his stallion. He was just under Dugra in the chain of command of the cavalry. "Go to him, he has something for you."
"Really?" Aliana asked and Dugra nodded his head to her. He loved to see that small face light up in a grin, sometimes he thought she had the powers her father had from how much the child seemed to know of the world but her father and the people of the south always said that she didn't. They knew more then him about their own people so he did not argue but that smile made his day at times. Aliana darted across the horse field and as a set of horses thundered by she'd drop and they'd jump over her with great ease. He could hear her laughing at the cavalry men who broke line to chase her with their horses.

As Aliana neared Yoa the horse tribesmen from the east nation came into better view. He looked sorta like a hawk with his sharp brown eyes looking her over, a very rare smile crossed his face for her and she grinned before breaking out into a full run toward him. "Yoa, Yoa! Dugra said you had something for me!" the girl's braid was fanning out behind her like a tail almost. It was sorta her signature amongst all the fighters, many would hold onto it instead of her hands when she told them to follow her, it was longer and easier to keep track of the girl that way. "He did did he?" asked Yoa as he scratched his beard and looked at her.
"Yep he did!" she ran up closer to the man and stood in front of him proudly.
"Hmmm." Yoa took a moment to think, his hands worked slightly in a twisting motion as the winds picked up and messed with the girls braids. He was a wind worker, one of the elements that where largely to the grasp of both men and women of the Eastern nations. "Can't remember if I do.." he said as Aliana batted at the air strands with her hands in an attempt to control her hair. "You DO have something for me!" Aliana laughed as she darted up to Yoa with an expectant smile. "Oh yes I do!" he said and reached into his pocket to pull out a long chain. On the end of it was a symbol of a element in a color that was normally corresponded to the element. Green for plants, brown for earth, red for fire, blue for water Ect. This one was clear like a diamond with no etchings on it.

Aliana tilted her head at the odd object in Yoa's hand. "What is it?" she asked with a slight skeptical tone."It's a stone that will change as you grow older, it's custom to have one at your age." The man walked over to her and put the object around her neck. The chain melded together at the and to create a necklace around her neck. "So.. It'll change?" she asked and Yoa nodded his head. "If you have an element your akin to or a spirit form of the elemental things It'll show here." he poked the object around her neck and patted her head before looking up. "STOP THAT TUGAR!" his voice carried across the air like a whip crack to the man. "Ask your mom to tell you more about it." Yoa walked off to snatch the young cavalier out of his saddle threw the air.
