Domo Backpack ate my head....
Crazy adventures in this world we call, GAIA.
The GAIA Times Newspaper
My basic knowledge in reporting news has changed. Since I am going into the field of News reporting, I've learned this. The average American has a reading level of 7th to 8th grade. So...in the GAIA Times you won't be seeing any SAT type words...or words you'll see in the Extended Discussion forum. It'll be words that anyone can understand...anyone from ages 13 and up....since ~_~;; that's how GAIA Online has been lately.

I'll be reporting Community based informative news...no more taking advertisements. I'm concentrating on the community.

First edition will mainly be about my learning the forums and cultures that I've missed out on. Forums such as the Mini shops forum...a forum which I didn't bother getting into.

xd SAT? *Lives in Scotland* Yeah, those who we used to brand Chatterboxers back in the day, some have evolved to be human like us, some have devolved, and escaped the CB and stealthily infiltrated the rest of the Gaia world, spreadin their Chatterboxerness with them gonk

If you're gonna be doin ad's, any chance I might enquire about advertisin my Original Towns Guild? rolleyes not right now, just wonderin when and if you will be takin adverts 3nodding

Maybe you could do an article about the Town's testing. There is also the subject about how the first phase of testing with only a few select user's effected the entire community.

Or maybe not, just an idea..... sweatdrop

What if it turned into a miniseries about Arwen and her loyal band of followers, who go snooping about Gaia on its varied levels and infrastructures?

pirate

Any rate, I'm not going to horn in on something that's your idea. Just know that if you ever need to raise a band on hardy marauding adventurers ready to sail the cyber seas, some of us just might be foolish enough to go along with ya on an adventure.

3nodding whee rofl

Places like minishops where people sell their services for other's time are fun, and it's nice that the site attracts users who create their own content. Things like that are why Gaia is a cool place. mrgreen

Heh I took a semester of media writing last year and it was really interesting. Just learning how to best structure your overall piece and your sentences and stuff like that.

I was just thinking, it'd be cool to have a little section for a comic, like how Square-Enix had theirs. ^_^ Of course, we also have the original Gaia storyline. Maybe more of just little comic strips created by Gaians and such? No one can ever get bored of reading the comics section of the newspapers, right? blaugh

A bit of change is good, I didn't expect the Times to be exactly the same as before. I can't wait to see a new edition.

I used to like reading the GAIA Times. xp Now I've been all busy and yeah. @@;

7th to 8th? o___o; That's...kinda sad. sweatdrop *has an advanced reading level compared to age* whee Dictionaries are good for learning new things. 3nodding People are just to lazy to break one out every once in a while.

If I'm not as busy, I'll check out the Gaia times again. whee
