I get the purpose of my following the system I'd been operating under now. It's not mine. I didn't create it. Someone else did. But as long as I stick to it, stuff is good. Lines stay clear. If I go screwing it up, I get screwed up, and I'm through begging to be screwed. If the one who created it switches things up, fine. If the creator changes it, then I find my place in whatever new system arises. But my place isn't to pretend that I'm the one with that power. My skills lie in being able to stay out of where I'm not wanted, but my power. .. .
My power is to make any system work for me. No matter who creates it, who runs it, who calls the shots. My power is the ability to live through anything that's thrown at me and come out still alive and kicking. And the source of that power is being able to see: see how the system works, why it is the way it is, and how to thrive in it or out of it - no matter who is up and fighting or who is down and out.
