The pinnacle of human development...
Not a whole lot... generally just ranting about whatever's on my mind...
There may be plenty of fish in the sea

User ImageBreaking Dawn.

Those words should have sent you scurrying into your holes in terror and disgust.

I honestly don't know what she was thinking.
The quality? INSANELY LOW!

Fanfiction writers could have done better.

PLAUSIBILITY isn't a word she understands, obviously!

MARY-SUES! I hate them. But, seriously, this story was RAMPANT with them.

Unfinished stories. Leah? Seth? MOST OF THE WEREWOLVES? Sorry, shape-shifters.

CHANGING A SPECIES NAME? In the LAST BOOK?
INsane.

BABIES? Half-breeds?
As if them actually having sex wasn't implausible enough, they actually get PREGNANT?
Are you INSANE?
And she accepts this? BROKEN RIBS? AND SPINE?
Dear GOD!

And Edward, seriously? They're married and they have this PERFECT LOVE (although it's based on nothing more than the fact that he's HAWT and a frigging STALKER) asks Jacob to SEX HER and have her BABIES?
WTH? HOW is that even vaguely EVER within the REALMS of "WILDEST DREAMS"?

The method of birth? Insane.
Skimming over the LONG ANTICIPATED sex scene?
Pretty much insane too.

Oh, and Jacobs POV section? So horribly, horribly badly written.
Now, I know Bella is irritating, shallow and under-developed as hell, but Jacob's worse.
And UGH, Renesmee!
The imprinting, implausible ability to be liked by everyone, ridiculous circumstances of her existence, everything about her is just sickening. Even the NAME! And Nessie. What. The. Hell.

The lack of conflict AT ALL is ridiculous. I wanted a good oul' battle!

Oh, and Bella's ridiculous perfection, complete SKIPPING of the hunger EVERY other newborn has felt, unbelievably fast development of her talent, the STRENGTH of her talent? WHY, SM, WHY?

Oh, and I shouldn't even start on the RAMPANT misogyny in the book!
But I'll just mention the RIDICULOUS notion that the PERFECT life is a baby and a husband. Just where is this idea that she's supposed to be a strong female? She can't live without a male in her life, it's insane!

Oh, and the complete abandonment of the theme of choices, loss, sacrifice.
She gets to be immortal, beautiful, married to this "perfect" (read borderline abusive) man, she gets her baby, her best friend, her dad, pots of money, pretty much everything she ever wanted.
How likely?

I know it's a fantasy, but it should at least follow its own rules. The whole book is a farce, not even taking into account Meyer's horrendous over-use of adverbs, her ridiculous attachment to the same verbs and adjectives OVER AND OVER, her positive ABUSE of dialogue and her flowery, boring description.
Not worth it.
But I had to, just to see how bad it could get.
=O
