~Wondering

Jiro woke up the next night and growled when he saw the extra lump sleeping on his floor, at least he still got the bed. He watched Kasey sleep for a minute, absorbing now how much he didn't look like Tsyumni or Kawa. His anger dulled. He reached over and grabbed his mother's picture off the nightstand and sighed. He missed her. He sighed and closed his eyes, picturing her face in his mind and smiling. She was always warm when she touched him and he could almost imgaine that warmth now.
His eyes shot open Kasey rolled over in his sleep and mumbled something about his father. An idea suddenly shot through Jiro's mind. He set the picture down and slowly slid off the bed, moving out of pure curiousity. He sat next to Kasey, cossing his legs as he brushed a peice of his hair out of hs face. Warmth lingered on his finger tips long after he pulled his hand away. He reached gently down and brushed Kasey's soft skin with his fingers. He was right, the warmth was there, even more so than his mothers. His hand lingered just a moment longer, wondering why Kasey's skin was warm when he and Tsyumni's were ice cold. That's when Kasey shivered and opened his eyes. Jiro instantly pulled his hand away. Kasey looked at him, jerking into a sitting postion. "What-" "Your warm." Jiro whispered "Why?" He breathed, Kasey's brown eyes widening, "I'm- Warm?" Kasey said confused, Jiro nodded quietly. Kasey touched his own cheek, feeling no unnormal change of tempature. Then he reached out toward Jiro, stopping when the other boy winched and then placing his fingers against Jiro's cold cheek. He gasped at the tempature of Jiro's skin. "Your- Cold..." Kasey brought his hand back and stared at the hard floor, his eyebrows pulling together as he frowned. "Your cold..."
