This is my journal~! Some of the stuff are old... but this is where I speak about my thoughts and the days of my life.
USA Trip
Ah... it's nice leaving your country sometimes. Well for a short day trip, I went to USA (Syracuse, NY). America is not that different than Canada. It's just a lot more people, flag and the money.

[Freeway]
The first thing that really messed me up on my trip to New York was the toll booths... I didn't understand why they have them until my father explained it to me. He said that they don't pay a lot of taxes than we do so they have toll booths instead. Over here, we don't. We pay a lot of taxes (13%) and that we have free health care. Also they use like 1/4 and such on the freeway (in Canada, it's called a highway XD)... ah. It was different and weird to me.
When we just got in USA, there were a lot of American flags. On houses and stickers on trucks and all. I wasn't use to see the American flags all around me before. I forgot how many stars on the flag.... 39? I don't know >.<

[Home]
No matter how much USA looks like Canada... it doesn't feel like I'm actually home. I just know that I live in a different country where I know my way, the territories and provinces. Like what I said before, there were a lot of American flags. The plates on the cars are different too. On the boarder, I just kept on looking at them and I read "New York", "Texas", "Michigan" and "Chicago". There were other ones too but I can't remember them.

[Money]
To be honest, American money makes you feel rich. I bought some stuff from an athletic store called Puma. So they gave me a $1 bill... we don't have those in Canada. So here I am with a $20 bill, $5 and 2 $1... it made me feel rich XD I also realized that their money stays a certain colour... green. In Canada; our money is colourful lol. $5=blue,$10=purple, $20=green, $50=red and $100=brown. Here, I'll even show a picture for you of Canadian Bills.

I liked the trip to USA even though I only went for a day. I was suppose to go to Atlanta (a 2 day trip) but that was too far away and that gas price is high these days. I've learned and seen many things in USA. Even the snacks... different name, different taste... besides these licorice called Twizzlers or something like that. There's this one thing too... they don't use the words "washroom" and "pop" like in Canada. My older brother asked for a pop and they didn't know what he meant until he said "coke". Since they were on the boarder or the highway, they get it. We were Canadian, haha. There was also a sign that said "Soda" it kinda made me smile. One day, I want to go to the greater part of USA like New York City, Brooklyn, Washington and Chicago. It sounds amazing and fun from what I've heard. If I have the chance to go to USA, I would go there again for sure.

There's fifty stars on the American flag.

One for each state.
