Vol. 2, Issue 1
Hi folks! It's been a while since I last posted with a news bulletin, but ... well, I don't have an excuse. I guess the life of a mascot is time-consuming what with all the trade donations and thank you emails and whatnot. Anyway... on to business!
Art Discussion Subforum
The new subforum for Art Discussion has finally been opened to the general populous of the guild! So exciting! Now we can have deep and meaningful conversations about art and artists that we love and/or hate and/or are apathetic to....? Well, it's open now and I think we'll have some great discussion come from it. Be sure to read the rules so that everybody can get maximum enjoyment levels from the forum.
Mod Action
The mods have decided to be a little less strict with the rules and rule-breakers and have decided to implement a new "unofficial warning" for minor infractions such as misplaced topics and the like. An unofficial warning will not lead to bans, but are instead intended to just give you a little head's up that maybe you should refresh your memory with the rules so that the forums don't become cluttered with misplaced topics and spam. This is because we want the guild to be fun, friendly, and supportive, and how can it be that if everybody is afraid of inadvertently breaking the rules and thusly getting banned. There is also a new Suggestions topic in the new Art Discussion forum where you as members can post suggestions to the moderators to help improve the guild. Yay for interactive guilds!
Tutorials and Help Desk
If you post often in the Tutorials or Q&A subforums, then you've probably noticed a bit of a change. First of all, the Q&A forum has magically disappeared. It hasn't really disappeared, though; it has actually been merged with the Tutorials forum to form the new Tutorials and Help Desk forum where you can both find tutorials and ask and answer questions. The mods decided to do this to make room for the new Art Discussion forum and also it seemed a better course of action than creating yet another subforum. So there you have it. Be sure to read the updated Rules and Guidelines stickie before posting!
Art Auction
The moderators are cooking up an art auction to help raise money for an upcoming art contest for the guild! So exciting!! Several of our talented mods will be participating so the art will be sure to please. I also hear that freebie art will be given out to frequent bumpers. So be sure to keep an eye peeled for an announcement on it's grand opening!
