.:: Tutorial Information ::. We have a lot of tutorials within our guild as well as linked to sources outside of the guild. To keep things organized, we ask that you kindly abide by the following rules and guidelines. Searching for tutorials?
Don't make separate threads about what you need help with! We have several stuck topics that contain loads of tutorials (see Post 4). Please make sure you check these before doing anything else to make sure the tutorial you need isn't already there. If you really can't find what you need, then and only then may you post a request in the Requests stickie topic (see Post 4).
If you post a topic asking for a tutorial, and it is already listed in one of our stuck topics, the thread is considered SPAM. Your topic will be locked and eventually deleted, and you will be issued an Official Warning for spamming. So pleasepleaseplease check the Mighty and Local lists before requesting anything (see Post 4 regarding our stickie topics).
Please post any requests that aren't covered in the guild in our Request stickie topic. Having everything in one spot makes things much more helpful for tutorial-makers than having to search through topics within the forum. It also makes it easier for tutorial-searchers when looking to see if their tutorial has already been requested, and therefore cuts down on spam.
Do not request tutorials for specific characters. Knowing how to draw one character before you are good at drawing anything else is like trying to comprehend calculus when you don't already know pre-algebra. Please understand.
Posting tutorials?
When posting a tutorial, please put [TUTE] in the title of your topic. This will make your tutorial stand out among all the Q&A topics in this forum.
You need to get your tutorials approved by the mods. If you make a tutorial, post it in this forum then contact one of the mods so that they can approve it. Don't worry, we're not judging harshly, we just want to make sure all the tutorials here are decent and helpful for everybody.
If you are posting a tutorial that you made, please include your images within that topic and not just links to them. Naturally, some of the images might be larger than our usual size limits. This is the only guild forum in which such large images are allowed, so post 'em!
If you are posting a tutorial that you DID NOT make yourself, post a reply in the Mighty List stickie topic. The [TUTE] thread title is reserved for people who have actually made a tutorial within the guild.
If you have posted a tutorial elsewhere on Gaia or the internet, please copy and paste it! We prefer that you actually repost the whole thing rather than making a topic then just sticking a link in it. There's less clicking involved that way as well as instant gratification! Yay!

.:: Q&A Information ::. Naturally since we are a guild with the purpose of learning, there are a lot of questions. This forum was made for you to do just that: ask questions! If you have any kind of problem and you want to know the answer, then don't hesitate to ask! Just be sure to check our FAQ stickie topic (see Post 4 regarding our stuck topics) first to make sure your question hasn't already been answered. Posting a Question?
As already stated, make sure your Q doesn't already have an A by checking our FAQ stickie topic first! If it's already in the FAQ, and you still post the topic, it will be considered SPAM and you will be issued an Official Warning.
If you don't want any more help or your question has been answered, put [RESOLVED] or [ANSWERED] in the title of you topic so it doesn't keep getting bumped. It also let's others know that problem has been solved, and if they have the same question, then they already know where to look!
Answering a Question?
Then read the following: GrayMist SO~ Questions. It's a wonderful feeling to answer them.
But what if you DON'T know the answer?
Well, the best thing to do is LEAVE IT ALONE for someone else. Either that, or try to help.
For example: Let's say that Newbie here is honestly confused~ newbie I don't know how to shade too well. Can I have some tips? Okay~ It's a pretty good question. It's clear. Now let's have some ANSWERS. NoDUH LOLOLAWURZ. I DON'T KNOW EITHER. PRAKTISE? cool lol razz whee wink surprised ^ Uh. No. One: That's not helping. Two: You're just spamming if you do that. If you just leave the asker person this, it's not going to help him/her much. NiceTry HAHAHAH~ I do and you don't! IN J0 FACEXXORZ! ^ I'm pretty sure being all elitest and junk like that will get you at least a warning here in this guild. If you really do know how, PLEASE help. x .x; AngelPerson Well, I suggest and . Also, personally I suggest that you try learn shading by outlining your shadows rather than full blown shading first. Learn your light sources. =) ^ DINGDINGDINGDING~! We have a winner! That was informative, and awesomely helpful. Please try to do something along the lines of that. ;D Of course, there's the situation where you might not know, but what if you REALLY wanted to help? (( And not feel useless? xD; I know I feel that all the time )) NotUseless Well, I don't know much about shading, but I suggest you look at and <'notherone> and maybe <'nother'notherone>. They have excellent shading, and I'm sure looking at that for reference will help. =D ^ ** clapclap ** So you don't know much. But referring artists can always help someone with learning, right? ;3 <3

.:: "The Lists" and Other Stuck Topics in this Forum ::. The stickie topics within this forum are particularly important when it comes to this guild: they teach and inform, which, after all, are the primary purpose of this guild! Be sure to familiarize yourself with the contents of these stuck topics.
The Topics Explained [•] The Mighty List o' Tutorials Within this extensive list of tutorials, you will find tutorials of all kinds, from sketching chibis to CGing complex poses and backgrounds. These tutorials are found outside of the guild, i.e. other webistes.
[•] The Local List o' Tutorials Similar to The Mighty List, but this resource contains links to tutorials that can be found within this very forum. Thanks to our very own guild members for these great how-to's!
[•] The Exciting List o' Tutorial and Reference Books This topic contains links to where you can find reference materials (i.e. people in different poses, animals, armor, etc.) as well as actual tutorial books that you can buy.
[•] Requests This topic is where you post to request tutorials that cannot be found in The Mighty and Local lists. Tutorial-makers can look here to see what people are wanting and can then fulfill those needs!
[•] FAQ If you have questions, chances are the answers are already here! Be sure to check this compilation of frequently asked questions before posting a new topic in the forum.
[•] Basic Manga Tutorial Just as it sounds: a beginner's guide to making manga-styled art.
