Ah... well, hello there. How are you all today? See, I'm a little akward here, I don't like people noticing me. Being put on the spot makes me very uneasy. See, even though I'm here you probably don't have any idea who I am. Just in case you want to know... My name's Meru Orient. I know it sounds like a stripper name but it really isn't! It's not my fault I was saddled with this name...

I guess I should start with the basics huh? Well, my name's Meru. Wait, you already know that... don't you? Oh! This is hopeless! When I get embarassed I start to babble on and one and I never stop and I somehow end up saying things I probably shouldn't. Like right there! I almost told you that my mom was insane. Opps...

Well, technically, she wasn't insane. She just needed help. Mom was an insomniac, a trait which she passed to me. She got that way from all the nightmares she had constantly! I would stay up with her at nights because Dad worked late and my sister went to a gifted school and needed all the sleep she could get. I would hold my frail Mother while she trembled and cried until Dad got home some time after midnight and take over. Finally, I guess the pain and stress got to her and she just left us. One night we found her gone along with one of the steak knives. Puri, my sister, is always hopeful for my sake. She tells me that Mom will be back, she knew she needed help and went to get it. Puri has always treated me like a child even though I'm 16, going on 17 in June.

I look nothing like my sister. She's a goddess in golden hair almost. Puri holds herself tall and never lets anything get to her. If she was here right now she'd be wowing you with me great orational skills. I don't envy her all the time, but just.. sometimes I compare us. She always wears the right clothes to show off her curves and the right make up to bring out her eyes. Her nick name for me is Penny, because to her I look like one. I see the nickname in a different light but I'd never tell Puri what because then she'd become over adulating and try and persuade me otherwise.

See, I'm a penny because I'm small and I don't have much use. People throw their pennies on the ground because no one wants to use change. I look like a penny too. I have short copper colored hair and freckles and a round-ish face but I'm small. I stick out akwardly because I don't eat much because when I get worried (which happens a lot) I don't eat, I run. Now, I'm not trying to sound like a Mary-Sue, that's just a fact of life. The only thing I like about myself if my eyes, they're large and bright green. I also like my ears. Not many people like their ears but I like mine. I don't know why, I just do.

Now, I'm sure you're getting tired of this, so I'm going to do something that I'm really good at. Pull a disappearing act. I can be there one minute and then when I don't want to be found I can not be there any more and not appear for a long time. Sometimes I want people to be able to find me, and they usually don't so it doesn't bother me because that's why I was disappearing in the first place.

So, I'm going to stop babbling on and leave. It was nice, this talk and all. I hope we meet again... maybe.
