Flame of a Rose
Bright embery arms twist about,
Spitting yellow and orange flames into the air,
Dancing in the sulphurous fumes,
Beneath the full moon.
The flames encase a rose,
Known as the rose of fire,
A beauty of nature’s oddities,
Always aglow at the base of a volcano,
Sparkling into the everlasting night.
Satin like petals never singed by the fires fury,
Grown in everlasting flame,
Burst a new, year after year,
Blossoming by the intense heat,
That spews forth from the volcano.
Something to precious to be picked,
A monument of the wonders nature provides,
Something that will astound people,
For generations to come,
Not even death can harm it.
