Today is the start of my vacation, officially. Im not entirely sure why I took one now, the only thing I can think of is that either I rationalized it beacuse my birthday was friday, or the Sonic is opening today. Now mind you, it wouldn't have been the first time ive skipped work for a epicurian experiance of gastronomic proportions, heh, not like jetting out to go to the mongolian BBQ or heading to the ice creamery beacuse "it's too hot to go back to work".
Vacations pose great opportunity in planning, but fail in execution in nearly every case. Last year I had planned to see the pyramids of Mexico...but spent the week moving out of my apartment. The year before I had wanted to drive up to canada, which is two states to the north to reach the border...but spent the time nursing the dog back to health after he ate a ratpoison bar and had to get his stomach pumped. That killed my vacation money.
"This year will be different!!" Nope, here I am, four more days to go. I still don't have any plans. Well....maybe ill sneak out for ~un hamburguesa con queso y papas..mmmm....papas fritas~ (shhh! maybe if it's in spanish, it'll be our secret!) hehe, but hey, more time I get to spend on Gaia...working on saving up for my poor bitter little Avitar. Maybe i'll cheer her up and buy her some shoes....!
