I told myself when I was a little hellion, maybe not more than five or so, I was going to be "Queen of the world" someday. I'm twenty three--well, closer to twenty four, and I still havent hit status of "chief underwear washer for the queen of the world" status (by that I mean im still a lowly girl, nothing special outstanding)
Ive carried on day to day with my ego tightly bottled within, and the knowledge that someday, I'll be special.
Still waiting for someday. Another worthless day passes.
The thought struck me yesterday, and for once it was clear...
Maybe im not the Queen of THE world. Maybe just the Queen of SOMEONE'S world. Maybe it is more special to be held in highest esteem by one, then generally known to many.
I just hope im a Queen....beacuse I know who my king is.
