Do you know how long a decade is? It's 10 years to be infact. Anyone who's lived past pre-school knows that ten years is a long time. I did some research to how long 10 years really is. In ten years, you can lesiurely learn 3-4 four completely different languages, fluently. You could teach 200 kids how to read and do arithmatic. You could get 2 bachelor's degrees. Do you know how I spent ten years of my life? I spent an entire decade of my childhood, which is most of it, learning how to kill. Effectively, quickly, quietly, without hesitation I learned how to take life for ten years. Needless to say, I got pretty friggin good at it. But for what purpose?
Sure, I picked up a lot of other things along the way. All the crap a kid should learn when he's 11. But mostly I focused on the proper entry points of a knife attack. Of the most fatal ways to use the side of my hand. How to move without being seen. And how to take life on reflex. When I look back, I'm really ashamed. I use to think that I pushed people away as part of my "training", but I soon came to grips with the fact of hom much crap that really was. Now I realize that this thing that I fear has been consuming my life is nothing but a hobby. Nothing consumes my life but my own desires. Not combat, not anything nor anybody. I proudly and freely state what I have learned and gained over 10 years.

I say this with pride, for it is but a hobby. But a useful one at times. Some people collect stamps, I hit a target with a kitchen knife from 10 feet out.
