Harry Potter is Amazing
Yes, I am finally done with the series. No I did not rush to finish it like the rest of the world. I am totally blown away by the last book. Mainly because of how much it has grown from the child's story it began as. I am totally not letting my kid's read these books in one sitting. I think I will give them to them to read when they reach 11. Then I'll give them the next book in the series when they are a year older. They can grow up with HP as I did. But seriously, the last book was so not meant for young readers. It had way too much stuff that a younger reader couldn't comprehend. Death, accepting your own death, and self-sacrifice are really heavy concepts for a kid who hasn't even reached puberty yet. Yep. I will never give my children the last book before they are at least 15. That may seem over protective, but that's how it's going to happen.
Back to the actual book. I love Ron. He is being added to my list of fictional lovers. I loved him way before this book, but now he is solidly on the list. Neville is my new hero. I HATE that Harry and Ginny named their kids after dead people. I know it's an honor thing, but come on. Especially Albus Severus. *shudders* Goodness I think it's awful. I'm really not fond of either of those names in the first place.
Also, where did the rumors that Dumbledore was gay come from? I see no reference to him being gay, except in the Rita Skeeter book. I hate it when people say things like that and there's no solid evidence. Sheesh.
Last Point. Rowling is brilliant. She planned that book so well. It was amazing.
