How is it that people can worship something that doesn't exist?

To me, "God" is only an inanimate object, no more than a rock persay. Does "he" speak, no, "he" doesn't. Does a rock speak? No, it doesn't.

To think that there are such things as heaven and hell. Where do you go when you die? In the ground. That's all there is to it. You get burid in the dirt. You rot away in a box. You're going to be in the ground forever, no matter what. Unless of course, your grave gets robbed, in which case, you may be above ground or unburied momentarily. That's all though.

Saying that you can redeem yourself by forgiving your "sins" and end up in heaven is wrong.
Saying that if you kill someone means you'll go to hell is wrong.

Killing people is against the law, yes. But do you ever see anyone who's murdered someone crying that they want to be forgiven by God and doesn't want to go to hell? No. So why even bother.

((Attempting to explain how things go through my mind is hard. But I enjoy having a place to put my thoughts, where they can be out in the open for people to consider is nice.))

If God is such a supreme being, then why does "he" not have the capacity to keep everyone happy? How is it that "he" can let people down so often. (Or so they say) Or, why, when something amazing happens, instead of wondering how, people say, we've been blessed with a miracle from "The Lord"

It makes no sense. If you want something to believe in, take up honesty. Honesty is the best policy they say. Believe in yourself. Not in some imaginary being that people made up as an excuse to explain things that they don't understand. A baby surviving with a 75% chance of dieing. They'd say:
"Wow, a miracle!"

I'd say:
"Wow, theres some well trained people to take care of it."

Why would you put all your trust into something that doesn't exist. It's like thinking that some day you'll ride a unicorn. They don't exist, and it'll never happen.

I feel like you people are far too willing to believe everything people tell you.

If you were to walk up to someone on the street and pretend your mother is dieing, they'd probably give you money, or tell you how bad they feel.

That's what it's like. Believing something that isn't real can help you make your way. When all you really need, is a good brain. Intelligent thought process and truth. The ability to see is buried deep within all of you.
