This is the first book in a trilogy I shall make later on. They are as follows: Secrets of the Storm Chimes in the Wind The last Breeze
The one you are reading *points up top* is titled there. Just an overview of what is in this story for eyes that cannot take it- Highly romantic situations I fully describe(no sex though, at least not in this book. Even then, I won't describe it!>_< wink Really sleezy lines Possible graphic torture of characters (blood, gore, etc.) And on a lighter note, much cheesiness you will have to just bear with.
Enjoy! And please do critque, though nothing cruel. I don't deal well with cruelty....^_^*
One early morning, Aikaze was roused from her bed. One of the women in the village, not much older than herself, had come to ask for help. "Aikaze, I'm sorry to have to wake you so early, but would you help the children and I? A careless toddler has let my chickens loose...."
Aikaze sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She was a rather pretty 18-year-old girl, having two dark braids that went almost to her waist, striking green eyes, and a lightly tanned complexion. Her figure was pleasantly curved, and gifted moreso with firm breasts rather than unususally large ones. She stood little over a proud 5 feet tall, meaning she was a tad short for her age. Thankfuly, she wasn't so attractive that she sent all men into a frenzie.
Aikaze turned back the covers and swung her legs over, issuing a slight groan with the effort on her stiff limbs. This was a cue for the woman to leave the room so Aikaze could dress, and she did so. Aikaze picked out her usual outfit, a very strange array of clothing she certinly had not gotten in the village. It had the top of an Ou-yai(sp?) and the pants of a Gung-xi outfit. Said top was white, it's long sleeves split at the shoulder to make it more comfortable, had a fitting collar that went and inch or so up her neck, and had tails in the back and front, split at the sides, that went down to her knees. The black pants were tight at the thighs, but they gradually bulged out at the knees, closing around the ankles to form a puff. On Aikaze's feet were black slippers with tough leather soles re-enforced with thick hemp paper to make them comfortable as well as durable.
Aikaze finished meticulously smoothing out her clothing before she swung her 4 foot fan with a 7 foot span of pressed white paper onto her back. She only used it in emergencies, but always had it with her, just in case. There was an evil in the land where she lived, and it's name was Sen. He was an evil man you couldn't quite call human, though he mostly took that form. His power was that of darkness, where he could take complete control over someone by growing in the dark resesses(sp?) of hearts. Those he chose to take control over were anything that had a corruptable mind. Worse yet, once the victem fell into the darkness, they didn't come back. They would remain evil for the rest of their probably short lives, but when they died, they would go straight to heaven. Thus, whenever Sen attacked, you had to drive him off as quickly as possible so as not to give him more troops.
After situating the fan, so appropriatly named Wind Reaper, nicely on her back, Aikaze exited her door and closed it softly behind her, meeting the woman in the hallway. "Tell me again, Pola, what the problem is. I was troo tired the first time to hear you. Something about crickets...?"
"Chickens, dear, chickens!" said Pola, rolling her eyes and taking a breath before she began again. "One careless toddler has accidently let loose my flock of chickens. Jack and I got too tired of chasing them, so the village children helped out......but are not very adept. though they are cute! Anyway, I came to ask your help because you have good leadership skills and are much more clever than poultry." Aikaze sighed and rolled her own eyes. She owned the most powerull wind artifact ever made, and she was made to catch overly stupid birds....But she was glad that was the only problems they ever had, for she liked peace. She liked it very much. "Well, I'll take that as a complement. lead me tpo your chickens!" This statement was said more for it's humerous value, as Aikaze had been to Pola's house many times before.......
Check in next Friday for more!
