Sunday, Part Two
(( Told from Sunday's POV with vague not-Loki-Sunday bits, I think. Ohyeah, Rae, pretend you don't know what happens. biggrin ))

"Well, Selena, you look lovely, as always," commented a young blond man, taking Sigyn's hand and placing a gentle kiss on the back. "Would the lady care to join me for a movie tonight?"

"Back off, Alex," Hel growled, coming to stand beside his mother. "She's not only uninterested, she's taken."

"Well," Alex commented with a smirk, "I don't believe I've ever had the pleasure of meeting the one she's so 'taken' with, so I'm beginning to think it's all a lie."

Hel growled and looked about ready to jump the fellow cop when Sigyn put her hand on his shoulder. "It's fine, Hel. I can deal with this. Why don't you go see if you can find your sister, would you? I think she's waiting outside..." Hel nodded and obediantly walked outside in search of Crys. "Now, Officer Shaw,"

"Please, call me Alex," he interupted with a smile.

"Very well, Alex. I'm afraid I'll have to decline your offer of a movie."

"What's wrong with going to see a movie with me?" he wondered, getting a little angry at the rejection. "They say you have a husband, but in all my years of working with you, I've never met him! He obviously isn't around at all and can't be keeping you very happy! Think of all the things I could give you, the fun we could have..."

"Watch yourself, Al'." Jor spoke up, smiling coldly at the other police officer from under the rim of his hat. "Wouldn't want the lady to cry sexual harassment, would you?"

Alex gaped for a second before storming off, muttering things to himself.

"...Thank you, Jor." Sigyn smiled.

"You're too polite, Si'y," Jordan said, shrugging. "Now come on, I have plans for your son."

"Jor!" Sigyn cried, covering her ears and playfully glaring at the young man, who simply laughed.

-------------------- ((Sunday's POV))

"Is this it?" I wondered, holding up a random book.

"No," Loki says after a brief glance in my direction. "It's called Here Comes A Candle."

"Key..." I muttered, looking at the floor.

"It's a dark book with orange-red lettering," Loki said without missing a beat. "Should be kinda small, it's a novel. This size, about," he said, showing me a medium-sized book.

"Is it a secret book or something?" I wondered, calming down a bit. "With directions to secret treasure?"

"No," Loki said with a laugh, "it's a normal book. But a rare one, so there aren't many copies in the world. Thankfully, I have a couple, since I quite enjoyed it myself."

"This is a copy?" I questioned, holding up a book I had found with a candle on the cover. It was black and a hard cover.

Loki came over to me and looked at the book I had. "Yeah, that's one copy, but not the one I'm looking for."

"Oh," I sighed and went to put the book back when he stopped me.

"But I think we'll take that with us. I wanna share it with you," he commented with a smile.

"Okay," I grinned and stuck the book in my small backpack, wrapping a spare shirt around it. "It must be a good book."

"It is," Loki said absent-mindedly, looking once more through the shelves. "But the one we're looking for is a paperback copy."

"Is it a dark green?" I wondered, thinking back. "Cause I think I saw it in the room down the hall, but upstairs..."

"Can you bring it down here?" he requested.

"Yeah," I peeked out the library door, remembering that Loki didn't wanna be caught here. Noticing the coast was clear, I made my way upstairs. Down a short hallway, opposite the way we came in, was a bedroom. "Obviously a girl's room," I muttered to myself, creeping inside. Right across from the door was a bookshelf, but that wasn't what caught my interest. On the bedside table, which was right next to the bookshelf, was a dark green paperback book. On the cover was a shadowy man holding a candle and some orange lettering.

Shrugging, I grabbed the book and quietly made my way downstairs again. "Is this it, Key?" I wondered, handing him the book.

"Yes, this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you, Sunday."

"We're leaving now?" It's not that I was eager to leave or anything, but I could sense that Loki didn't enjoy being here. And I could understand, I suppose. We were doing things that aren't exactly smiled upon in polite society. And with his wife and son being cops, it wouldn't be good, us being caught here.

"Yeah, come on," Loki snuck out into the hallway and started up the stairs. About halfway up, he stopped and motioned for me to stay quiet. Then, I heard it. Voices, coming from the hallway leading to the master bedroom where we had come in.

"Damn, what now?" I whispered, freaking out just a bit.

"Relax, Sunday," he said absently. "We can go out back," Nodding to himself, he turned around and lead the way back to the library. "It's farther down here," he motioned.

"OUt there," I pointed to the glass doors at the end of the hallway.

"Yeah, follow me," Loki said, smiling at me. He pushed open the doors slowly, "And stay... quiet..." he trailed off, turning around to face the backyard. "********."
