We think lowly not of you as people but of your blind faith and utter refusal to even compromise in the face of the sheer amount of scientific evidence and logic that contradicts your extreme viewpoint. Oh, don't forget ignorance and stubbornness also tends to make us rather irritated.

Because where there is a conflict between reality and their religion, many people choose their religion. Quote: why do you think so low of us? By "us" do you mean creationists? If yes, because all but I think 4 or 5 creationists I have met are idiots repeating the same long debunked lies and misrepresentations. Guilt by association, perhaps.

Well it's nothing against you personally.
It's just that creationists in general ignore the scientific facts that prove evolution.
Science, at least "proper" science doesn't work like that, most scientists would take all the available evidence and arrive at an answer which fits those facts, no matter their personal beliefs.
Hell I consider myself to be at least marginally religious but I don't let that stand in the way of facts that challenge what I might believe in. ninja

foxboy-14 oh i believe in evoloution so does that make me a non creationist? i just belive god guided evolution and what not (god has one f'd up mind) Usually when using the term creationist it is simply short for young earth evolution deniers. By the literal meaning of the word, every religious person with a creator god is a creationist. But then the term simply becomes synonymous with religious, and loses meaning. By that definition many of our fellow guild-mates are also creationists. The guild deals only with the evolution deniers and their ilk.

It's not the people it's the beliefs themselves. Creationists merely carry those beliefs and try to infect... I mean convert others with them. I don't consider creationists idiots; I consider their beliefs farce and them forcing it down my throat annoying. Personally I don't care what others believe.

foxboy-14 well i dont deny evolution Do you deny the natural history of the universe, as it has been determined through science? If not, when we call ourselves anti-creationists, we are not referring to the type of creationism you subscribe to you.

foxboy-14 Why do you think so low of us? I generally think pretty low of people who completely ignore the world around them and believe that it's good to be wilfully ignorant. foxboy-14 Do you think that people are stupid because of their beliefs? It depends on their beliefs. Some beliefs are reasonable, so some may be pretty weird, but not stupid. The creationist beliefs are pretty stupid. They are irrational, illogical and quite frankly, bullshit. It's common knowledge to most that the creation stories (there are 2 different, conflicting stories in Genesis itself) are metaphorical, not meant to be a description of what actually happened. It's like believing in Aesop's Fables, it's stupid. foxboy-14 i dont understand it, and yes sure i know there are more creationist that think lowly for you all, but what do you expect when creationist are the majorty? No. Creationists are the minority. Most people don't reject the facts of life. In Europe Creationists are very very rare. I've only met 2 in my life and they were both at my Catholic School.

teen_1986 foxboy-14 Why do you think so low of us? It depends on their beliefs. Some beliefs are reasonable, so some may be pretty weird, but not stupid. The creationist beliefs are pretty stupid. They are irrational, illogical and quite frankly, bullshit. It's common knowledge to most that the creation stories (there are 2 different, conflicting stories in Genesis itself) are metaphorical, not meant to be a description of what actually happened. It's like believing in Aesop's Fables, it's stupid. oh really? i beg to differ Genesis 1 is the account of the creation of the universe and life on planet earth as it happened in chronological sequence. Genesis 2 is simply an expanded explanation of the events that occurred at the end of the sixth creation day - when God created human beings. Genesis one provides virtually no details about the creation of human beings (other than the idea that humans were created in the image of God). For a book that is dedicated to the relationship between humans and God, four verses seems like a rather poor explanation for the creation of God's preeminent creature. This is because Genesis one was never intended to stand apart from Genesis 2 and 3. Genesis 2 describes God's preparation of a specific location on earth (Eden) for habitation by the first human beings. Part of the confusion results from our English translations, which use the term "earth" when the Hebrew would better be translated "land."foxboy-14 i dont understand it, and yes sure i know there are more creationist that think lowly for you all, but what do you expect when creationist are the majorty? you do to, most likely you assume it is a stupid random event, even if you know 0.00000001% of the entire universe, you still pretend you know everything, sounds stupid to meIn Europe Creationists are very very rare. I've only met 2 in my life and they were both at my Catholic School.
