hmm... didn't notice it the first time. I still think the leader is a completely new character and Tobi is a spy.

someone else told me the leader was the 4th hokage because the fourth hokage found out how to use the sealing jutsu without dying
and i seen the atatsuki guide and it said the leaders name was "pain"

oh yesh tobi is a good boy..  lol...oh nd I thought that Pien was the leader...and I think it would be more likely for someone like obito-tobi to be a spy then the leader....and I seriously doubt that it would be the 4th hokage

His name is "Pain", damnit.
Tobi was revealed to have the Sharingan, implying that he is of the Uchiha clan, or he's some how taken the life force of Madara Uchiha. He says himself that he has the power of Madara, but he doesn't claim to be Madara. It's very well possible that he could be Obito, seeing as how he doesn't have 1 Sharingan eye that we've seen, and a single eye hole.

Yup his name is "Pain", it even says so in the manga, but in other places it says either "Pien" or "Pein". (Leader of the Akatsuki)
When Tobi said, "The Sharingan's true power. My Power. Uchiha Madara's power" I totally wrote that off as he being Uchiha Madara. But then I read it over again and it could be saying that just to imply that the true sharingan's power was achieved by Madara. Tobi could be Obito because we only know that he has one eye, with the single eye hole. And it's on the right side! Obito lost his left one when he gave it to Kakashi. =] So I'm not too sure who Tobi is really underneath his mask, but all in all I'd like to call him Tobi!
Pien even though the members call him their leader, he still reports to someone and he has a partner. He reports to Tobi who is revealed as "Uchiha Madara" who is the probably the true mastermind of Akatsuki dun dun dun!
But that's what makes the series so interesting, you never know what to expect =]
