For a while, people have been debating over one song and it's subliminal message. Some say that CD's are meant to be played regularly and "enjoy" what it brings. But, either way, there is a message people do not want being heard or played on air. This song is known as Led Zepelin's ( sp? ) Stairway To Heaven. The song's name throws people off, and the lyrics are supposed to make the song sound good, but if you really pay attention to the lyrics and do research on it, you'll see that, even though there is a subliminal message, the message lies in the original song as well.

I learned about this song about a month ago from a friend at church. He says that this song is the most popular rock song, and that in most every guitar shop, you will hear it being played. He plays the electric guitar, and he was going to play that song, but he says that God told him not to play it, and he did what God said.

If anyone can provide me with the lyrics, please post them, and I can further the message by explaining the lyrics.

It is a good song, but I would not see it in church becuase it is about(least form what I get from the song) is a women who thinks she can buy anything she wants.

Now I like Bon Jovi's song "Livin On a Prayer"

I googled it and here is what i got. I''m interested to hear what you say.

got it off of http://www.lyricsfreak.com/l/led-zeppelin/82076.html

If there?s a bustle in your hedgerow
Don?t be alarmed now,
It?s just a spring clean for the may queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There?s still time to change the road you?re on.
And it makes me wonder.

Your head is humming and it won?t go
In case you don?t know,
The piper?s calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow,
And did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind.

And she?s buying a stairway to heaven.
Alright. I cut out some of the song. Ok, the first paragraph I show you is saying that you have two roads you can go by. These two roads are heaven ( up, a good path ) and hell ( down, a bad path. ) Now, on the video of this song from a 10 hour documentary I saw shows that while singing this part, the man points down ( hell ). This basically means that the path they want you to go by is hell. In the second paragraph, this man speaks of a piper, which relates to a folk tale about a piper who leads I think 3000 mice into a river. This piper is satan who is trying to lead people to the lake of fire. Now, if you would like to see the lyrics in reverse because I just don''t want to type them, click hereand check the lyrics backwards. I have other things to talk to you about, but I must do some more research. If you read this, thank you for spending your time. Please, show your friends who like this song and help them. Again, thank you for reading this and I hope you are changed from this and the further research I do.

You guys are absolutely right. It's not only their song "Stairway to Heaven", but also "Rock and Roll". I bought a two disc set of their greatest hits (15 bucks at my local Walmart). The minute that song come on, I wanted to buy a Cadillac.

You guys are nuts.

Btw. That man "pointing down" is Robert Plant. He moves his hands a little like Jack Sparrow in the music videos. That's all that is.

And umm...I'm not in the habit of playing my songs backwards looking for a demonic message. If I want to hear one, I'll go visit my grandmother razz

Okay...you have me a bit confused. First off you say we are right, and then you say we are nuts and if you want to hear a satanic message you can go to your grandma's house. Are you with or against?

Ok, next subject. Now, as many people might know, Ozzy Osbourne ( sp? ) was/is ( I really don't know ) in a group called Black Sabbath. Now, that groups very first song was called Black Sabbath, and, again, if someone may provide me with the lyrics, I will appreciate it. In the video I saw, Ozzy smashed things around and one of the things he did then lead to the end of his career I believe the documentary said. But, it isn't only rock & roll thats satanic, because many rap artists have also been taken over by satan. DMX is an example. In one of his songs, he states that he knows he has to repent, but "not right now".

And this brings me to how Tupac died. The night Tupac died was when Mike Tyson was going against mister Hollyfield ( I forgot the guys first name ). Hollyfield was a christian, and Tupac was a big fan. A while before the right, Hollyfield spoke to him about God. Tupac was so full of himself, he was like "yeah, I like what you're saying about this God guy and stuff but I'ma go gangbang and this and that". So Tupac left with Shook Night and his crew, beat up some guy from Biggie's crew, and got in their car. They drove, and got to a red light. When they stopped, a black car came, they rolled the windows down, and did a drive-by, killing Tupac and hurting Shook Knight, because Shook Knight was big.

There is only a few differences here. DMX knew he had to repent, when Tupac wasn't even christian and had no clue that he had to repent. DMX "prays" to God for forgiveness, but the next day he goes out and says the same crap over and over again. In one of his songs, it speaks about having sexual relations with a dead corpse, which in other words, is necrofelliac ( sp? ). I will continue with this tomorrow after school. Good night, and God bless.

Discussion makes me think of the song, "Jesus Walks". Although Kanye may have meant well.. you just don't swear in a song about Jesus..nor do you even want it to be played in a club. stare

Wasn''t the song "I''ll Fly away" made in the slavery days?

Just wondering, I dunno if it was, but if it was, I would probably be right there, pickin'' cotton, singin'' that song to my Lord.

XD

And yes Rock and Rap can be evil. But so can art, and ourselves, and water.
Water isn''t inherently evil, but you can sure drown someone in it can''t ya?

Anyways, I can get what you''re saying, and I''m not saying you''re right or wrong, just explaining what I think.

I know music is God''s invention and God''s creation, and satan tries to pervert, twist, and manipulate everything that God created and loves. And, with satan having the background of music, what better thing to twist than music?

I think it''s interesting how you could come up with this man, I mean, secular music can so be easily twisted for satan''s purposes and I can see how his influence (the pointing down and pipe piper thing) can come out without the artist himself knowing it.

I know that there are rap artists who will smoke weed and do drugs until they get a song. Then in that state, the devil can easily give them a beat that will be emmencely popular.

Personally, off the discussion topic, I feel like the only music genre that can''t really be used for Christ (I''m still figuring this out because God made music) is hip-hop. And that''s only because it''s a religion claiming that the black man is God. In which...yikes. XD

Anyways, I can also see how the artist has a Jack Sparrow thing goin'' on. Just keep in mind that it''s secular music that we''re discussing.

Here you go my good sir. http://jeffmilner.com/backmasking.htm

Mister Kokoro: Yeah, I get where you're coming from. God did make music and satan does monipulate people to use God's creations for satans own pleasure/purposes. And by using music, which is something people of this time are very interested in, he can draw people against God. It really sucks how satan had to exist, but still, satan needed to exist so that people could see how great God is.

You know hwat though. In concerns with "subliminal" messages. It could very well be the artists themselves have nothing to do with this. It could be people working for record companies who slide this in while editing/production.. and the artists have no idea. and, they probably have already signed away their ability to fight back when they joined the label as it was probably in fine writing on their contracts.. because when people are all excited about getting signed.. they don't bother to read all of it.

but for that matter, I have heard it said among conspiracy theorist circles that tv has tons of subliminal imagery which for some people is a million times more influential with them than just listening to music. because what some people see.. sticks in their brain longer than what htey hear.

but this could very easily be ultimately reduced to the same issues we talked about in Topaz's becareful of stuff you have in your house discussion. Like how some anime/posters/materials may have spirits attached to them. Don't think that stuff you listne to or watch don't have them also. I mean.. you ever wonder what it is about horror films htat really get ot people. why is it that those images haunt those people? same thing. I know there were a few movies the first few times I saw them affected me in a severely adverse way. number one example was fifth element. first three times i saw in theater. From the part where the opera was going on... it'd trigger something in me that would make me feel depressed and irritable. i'd start crying for no good reason at all and cry for hours.

some friends couldn't figure out what it was until the third time we saw it. and one friend thought that while i couldn't with my ears understand that song... my soul could understand it and it made my soul wrenched with sorrow at hearing it.
