As far as I can tell, this is the best genre to put 'em in, so.
Right, I just recently discovered this band (www.3inchesofblood.com) and and and I really like how they sound. They have three albums: Battlecry under a Wintersun (or was it sky? blah), Advance and Vanquish, and Fire Up the Blades. They sing about the usual power metal stuff, though they, on occasion, sing about the glory of heavy metal (considering they're like this weird power/NWOBHM mixture) -- their song Deadly Sinners has something like "Enemies of metal/your death is our reward". Slightly angry, but I like the song...
But yeah. x_X

I got to get them to sign Fire up the Blades for me. It was great. The whole album is amazing as well. I need to listen to Advance and Vanquish in it's entirety. I hear it's their best one. Anyway, great band and worth a listen.

When I got my disc signed, they seemed like very down to Earth, cool guys. I couldn't sense any egos or anything with them. I think the creativity comes form the fact that they are just having fun, not trying to be the next Manowar lyrically, just writing what they like.
On another note, that cover is pretty sick, isn't it?

My Hollow Fav Track: Forest King for obvious reasons. They performed it live when I saw them. "AVENGE THE AX AVENGE THE BLADE!" My favorite is "God of the Cold White Silence". I hear a major black metal influence in parts of that, ya know what I mean?
