I prefer magic, personally. I'm one of those "accept the impossible but not the improbable" types, though.

I prefer magic.
Mainly because I don't want to think of the failed experiments in a super formula.... ewwww... I just did.
but disgusting failures and side effects. aside. If there was a magic 24 hour sex change pill that would be pretty wild.

I'm also a fan of the old "magic ring o' girl time."

Yeah, magic. I wish there was a real sure fire way to become a girl instantly that'd be awesome!

Yeah, I know what you mean!
My personal sense of TG is fantasizing about temporary escapism. I'm a guy, and I enjoy being a guy (for the most part). So even though I'd love to be able to turn into a girl, at will, I'd just want it in a non-committal way. Believe me: for the time in which I was in girl, I would fem out like nobody's business. heart But I wouldn't want it to be a full time thing.
The science route doesn't fit in with that so well. Even if my science-based sex change was something I could switch in and out of... I've had braces twice! My DNA would probably default my teeth back to buck-tooth land once I reverted. stressed

How many cuts should I repent...? OH yeah.
Magic, FTW. But honestly, I couldn't really care. If there was a way to switch genders whenever you wanted to, in a non-permanent way, I'd go for it.
'Side....Kei-chan is in love with my male alter-ego. Think how much fun it would be if he was real.....^.~ How many fates should I accept...?

Yeah, "Abstract Gender" is great (when it updates). I think I like Asuka's art style best. Have you guys heard of Joe Sixpack? He has a short story (with art) called " Shisutaabooi" that's a fun science-themed change. He has a habit of mind-wiping his characters, which I'm not fond of, but his stuff is still pretty good outside of that.

Actually, I like either equally as long as evidence of surgery is not involved such as scars.

I like both, if there done right. But more times then not I like magic more. Caues I like the clothes transforming with the victiem, not to metion all the plot/logic wholes that seem to come up in the science catagory. I hate plot and logic wholes.

D=< Yeah, I like both to depending on how it's done and what kind of theme the story is going to have. I do have a slight preference for science when it's plausible tho, because it's easier to imagine that becoming real some day. But magic disguised as science kinda bugs me.

Like "Ka-Girl pills", and clothing changing with the person? Caues that's the worst offenders. Thow I think stories involveing surgery, hormons, ect abit of a turn of thow on the other extrem. XD I like stories that involve grey slime (gient hord of nano bots that transform people) the most, when it comes to Sci-fi transformations. Too bad there isn't more of them.

XD Well, I was thinking like transformation guns, or really any sort of blackbox tech that does instant changes without making at least some effort at explaining what's in the box. Technology based 'mind swapping' is also a bit twitchy, tho the Raelians think it's plausible. (Honestly, I would love for them to be right but I'm just too skeptical for that.) Hormones and surgery I don't have much problem with, especially if the story is 'willing ts' rather than involuntary. That's getting into how the 'theme' of the story changes which method I prefer to see, though. Quote: I like stories that involve grey slime (gient hord of nano bots that transform people) the most, when it comes to Sci-fi transformations. Too bad there isn't more of them. The only comic I know of using that right now is Angels & Aliens. I haven't explored too much into pure-text stories yet, though. How about retrovirii? There's currently experimental work being done involving using those on diabetics, and the application could theoretically be extended to transgender treatments as well.
