To fame someone, you double click on their character and it opens up an info box. There should be a part that says "Fame" and arrows that go up and down. You can raise the person's fame, or lower it. You can only fame once a day. You can only defame the same person once a month. If you want people to fame you, ask, but its rare anyone is gonna do it. You have to buy fame. A good price is around 20k per fame.

Some armors, or at least certain colors of some armors later on need a certain amount of Fame to wear.

I used to trade it. Then I just got bored and bought fame for around 6k each. THen started buying for 15k - 20k each. Then I stopped and started trading fame daily(even htough I didnt play MS anymore). Now I dont do anythign with fame. x_X

I don't usually buy because I got alot of friends that are willing to trade with me. Then there are random people, during the ride to orbis/ellinia/ludi, that trades fame also.

I get fames the following way:
1) Mass faming: I mass fame my friends, they mass fame me back. Equivalent exchange. <3
2) I buy fame, usually, I buy each fame for 5k-10k.
Why do I want so much fame? The more fame I have, the less I have to worry about when people mass defame me, especially after a huge KS war.

lol Mostly I get defamed. The little fame I have is from random people who think I'm nice, and a friend who I have fame wars with 3nodding [Both of us have a few 15+ mules]

you dont have to buy fame or trade, jux do nice things for ppl and they will randomly fame you. thats how i get half my fames, jux off the ppl i help with. i train them, help them with quests, lead them somewhere or out of dungeons, jux random requests that i do on my spare time.

I think having a very high amount of fame is pretty useless, unless you wanna beat the rankings for 'highest fame character'.

I think the important thing is to not have negetive fame, people will call u a hacker or sumtin. I tried to get defame (i bought defame) and got to around -20, then lots of people started looking at my fame and called me a hacker =( i was excluded from alot of things.
