A few weeks ago, one of our dearest brothers, Athramir, went berserk killing all who got in his way. Athramir was always into conjuration, mainly summoning daedra from the planes of Oblivion. As of late, there have been more sightings of daedra in the ruins of Kvatch by rogues who have fled in terror, thinking that another Oblivion gate has opened in the destroyed city. The Imperial Legion are saying that this is impossible and there would be no reason for the daedra to reappear in an already destroyed city. We, the Dark Brotherhood, agree. We believe that these summonings are the work of our ex-brother Athramir. The daedra have all been sighted in the near vacinity of the ruined castle. You have been one of the select few chosen to investigate the castle and kill Athramir. We are NOT doing this for the Imperial Legion, we do this purely for the revenge of the dear brothers we lost at Athramir's hand. If by chance, this is not the work of Athramir, do what you must to stop these daedra, even at the cost of your own life. I have no idea why, but the Night Mother herself has commanded that the daedra must be stopped no matter what, even if they are not Athramir's doing. I'll leave it up to you to think of why. I too have permission to check this out for myself, so I may see you there. Good luck, dear brother. Sydney Vacious.

Ok, you have read the letter sent to you by Sydney Vacious (myself) and you now can join this rp I have created myself. But there is a few rules: 1) You can't be like a god, you have to take damage and you can't fly or any crap like that, you get the picture. 2) Be as active in this thread as you can, there is nothing more annoying than an rp thread that no one posts in. 3) Don't be offensive to your fellow brothers in here, lets keep it civilised. As I'm the new mod for this sub-forum, I'll report you to Tomcha Blade if you are being offensive after you have been told to stop.
Have fun!

As Sydney walked up the path towards Kvatch, he noticed two rogues standing next to the edge of a cliff. He crouched behind a rock so not to be seen. It looked as though they were talking, one of the rogues looked decidedly scared while the other was trying to calm him down. Unfortunately, from this distance, Sydney couldn't hear what they were saying. "Could they be talking about the daedra?" Sydney thought to himself. He cast an invisibility spell and headed towards them, to see if he could maybe hear what the were talking about. Sure enough, as he got closer to the pair, they were talking about the daedra. Sydney got close enough to be able to see their faces, one was a Nord, while the other, a Breton. "B...b...but what if they follow us?!" asked the Breton, his inner child escaping on him. "Give it a rest!," replied the Nord, "It's been half an hour and they still haven't come, I think it's over...." At this stage, Sydney suddenly realised he had about 10 seconds until his spell wore off. The way he saw it he had two choices. 1) Make a run to the nearest cover. or 2) Take two lives, unecessarily. The choice was clear to him... He wasn't in the habit of running... He pushed the pair off of the cliff and as they plunged to their doom, the Nord swivelled round to see Sydney's smiling face getting further and further away. When the duo had hit the ground and weren't moving, Sydney continued on up the trail to the city gate. When he arrived at the gate, he could still see the marks in the ground from which the oblivion gates rose up that fatefull day. He approached the city gate and pushed it open, not knowing that this, would be a contract like no other...

Leo lurked in the shadows for some time, watching the man, before deciding that he must be Sydney Vacious, the man who had sent him the letter. It sounded like an interesting contract. Leo could have easily sent his Silencer to do the job, but he hadn't bloodied his hands in a while, and decided he could use some exercise. He ran up to Sydney and placed a hand on his shoulder. As Sydney spun around, Leo introduced himself as a speaker.
"So where should we start?" Leo inquired.

"Master Leo!" Sydney exclaimed, "Such an honour!" He took a moment to take in his surroundings: He could see the church, the tower of which, still lay in the way of the road. He could see the castle off in the distance, still on the brink of colapsation. "Hmm...." He thought to himself, "If we must go through the church to get around the tower, there may be bandits inside, it could get bloody unecessarily..." Which of course, didn't bother him in the slightest. "I think, my dear brother, that we should start in the castle. But judging by the tower blocking the road, we will have to go through the church." Constantly thinking of ways to rise in the guild and earn himself a reputation, he makes Leo an offer. "If you want my brother, I can go inside while you wait here? If there are any bandits in here, I can dispose of them, that way you wont have to get your hands dirty..." Then, thinking for a moment, "Or is that precisely why you came? To get your hands dirty?"

"You read my like a book brother" Leo replied. "Being a Speaker isn't all its cracked up to be. You have your duties, of course, to seek out new recruits which can be fun in itself, but sometimes you miss fulfilling contracts. The bloodier this gets, the better. I'd love nothing more than to turn this escapade into this ruined city into a full battle campaign. And I wouldn't want to miss out on a duty our Unholy Matron deems important. Shall we ambush them, or just rush right in?" Leo asked. "My guess is that there will be plenty of insane bottom feeders between here and our destination."

Sydney thought on this for a moment. "Hmmm.... Well we may as well sneak in at first, but it'll be pretty hard not to be spotted in an open space like a church. But if we happen to be spotted, we simply rush in. After all, there is no point in making it any harder for ourselves than we have to, right?"

Leo nodded, but looked disagreeable. "I understand. We can't afford to mess around when we are doing the Night Mother's work." Leo said, as he quietly walked up to the door of the chapel and slowly opened one of its doors to have a peek inside.

Sydney went up on his toes to see inside... Suprisingly, there was no one in side. As he and Leo stepped inside, men and woman jumped out of everywhere, weilding all sorts of weapons. "Well." Sydney said, "There goes plan A..."

Leo raised his arms in surrender looking at Sydney out of his peripheral vision and using body language to suggest he ought to play along. "What did we do?" Leo said in a convincingly scared voice. "Do you want our money? You can have it!"

"Yes, take it, take anything!" Sydney whimpered, "Just please don't hurt me, I have a wife and three kids back on Vvardenfell..." As the bandits approached, Sydney looked across at Leo with an unmistakable look which said: "What now?"

Leo threw his coinpurse to the ground, and as the leader of the people stepped forward to pick it up, Leo grabbed him by the neck and twisted it to a 90 degree angle. "Nobody move, or he dies." Leo attempted. He was frustrated by how prepared these people seemed to be. He had expected skooma fiends, not a bunch of well armed and well prepared bandits.

These bandits didn't seem to care at all of there friends well being, as one of them lifted his bow to shoot at Leo, despite Leo's warning and the fact that he could hit his commrade. (I'm sure I spelt that wrong lol) With a swift movement of Sydney's hand, the bowman was set on fire and thrown into the back wall of the church. "Hmph," Sydney muttered in disgust, "Well armed and prepared they may be, but they're still amatuers..." These bandits obviously didn't like the idea of being amatuers as they started yelling and progressing towards Sydney, Leo and the hostage.
