Since this is a Stephenie Meyer Guild, we figured that you should have a place to talk about all of her books.

The Host isn't released yet, its release date is estimated for about Spring 2008, so it's a bit away.

She says that it is classified as an adult science fiction novel. She also says it is "science fiction for those who don't like science fiction".

So, things to talk about here:
How you think the book will turn out
How you think Stephenie will be at writing science fiction
Any additional information you have about the book
Anything else relating to the book Im too tired to think of now...

I think The Host will turn out great. It sounds like an awsome book. Also, from the description Stephenie gives about what the book is about it sounds alot like the novel Mind of My Mind by Octavia E. Butler.

It may not be by Stephenie Meyer, but I do suggest this book to anyone who is in this guild Once you read the book and reread the description of The Host, I think you'll agree with me that they sound alot alike.

I'm actually looking forward to The Host. I'd only recently discovered my new love for the science-fiction-but-not with Kurt Vonnegut's novel, Slaughterhouse 5. I highly recommend it, but only for -extremely- openminded people.

But anyway, I look forward to it.

I very excited about "The Host." It sounds like it'd be really good and plus I'll have something to distract me while I'm waiting for the 4th book from the Twilight series to come out. (:

I read the first chapter and it was awesome. I think the real release date is may 6th 2008.

I work at a daycare and on the last day, I was given this book by a mother of one of the kid I take care of. I'm going to finish the Twilight Series first, but I'm pretty excited about this one.

For everyone's information,
The Host was Stephenie Meyer's best published book yet.

That's all right with me, but to express its importance to me take this into consideration:

I closed Breaking Dawn just to read The Host.

As well, this:
I was unaware that The Host was indeed a science fiction novel when I first picked it up at the store. I saw "Stephenie Meyer" on the cover so I carried it all the way to the cashier. I quickly read the inside as I walked into line and I fell in love with the storyline. Honestly, I was getting tired of the whole vampire-werewolf craze easily, but I finished the Saga. Don't worry.
And please, don't kill me

Because I read the first three books of the Saga much too quickly, I wasn't as entertained as I had been when I first began Twilight.

End of story.
