Elwen is always seen dressed rather plainly with her bronze red hair tied up messily. A black cloth holds back her hair from her orange eyes. She tries to avoid wearing the typical Firestorm garb but does dress in the kimono for clan events or when she plans to spend the day among them.
Personality: To put it simply, Elwen is a jerk. Her main goal in life is to keep everybody at a distance. Her method for this isn't closing up. It's picking fights, insulting and hurting people in whatever manner necessary to keep them away from her. But despite all of this, underneath her cold exterior she does have a heart. When she believes something is right she will fight for it fiercely.
History: Elwen is part of the Firestorm clan. Her immediate family was small. A mother who was very skilled with her element and a father who took less interest and focused more on being a scholar. She also had a sister who was sent away when Elwen was very young. When she was about 12 Elwen had snuck into the forest to meet with a human friend, Myai. When Myai never showed up she returned and found a small attack had been launched on the clan by a political group against elements. The firestorm clan got the blunt of it for their strange eyes and reputation of being demons. Her father lost control of his element and both of her parents died as a result. After the events had passed Elwen found that her mother's staff had survived. She also retrieved her father's handkerchief from his dresser. She was now an orphan but refused to let anyone else take her in as she was scared to lose anyone else. Elwen survived doing small tasks that she managed to get around the city.
Anything else: Elwen always keeps her mother's staff with her.It has two jagged blades curling out from it. And between those two are two curved ones. Between these is an orb. Elwen does not know the purpose of the orb. But she'll use the staff as an alternative to her element. As mentioned she has her father's handkerchief. This is what she uses to tie back her hair from her face.

Character Name: Aoi Umizu

Appearance: Aoi is 6'7" in height, and weighs about 170 pounds. He has a slightly muscled body and his skin is tanned. He has ice blue eyes and his hair is black and closely shaved to his scalp, with only a few strands of hair left on the front for bangs. He is missing his left arm and is not afraid to show this, often seen wearing a white sleeveless, turtleneck top and black, billowy pants and black leather sandals. Around his waist is a large brown belt that hangs a bit loose, containing various small pockets. Sometimes he wears a grey cloak that is clasped with by a blue, round gem.

Personality: Aoi is a cheerful person, often doing his best to look at the bright side of things. He is kind and friendly and somewhat outgoing. Besides his cheerful and boisterous side, he has a serious side that comes out sometimes, especially during battle, at which times it could be hard to talk to him.

History: Aoi was raised by a middle-class family, and discovered his ability to control water at age 3, his parents seeing him splash water and hold the droplets in the air. At age 4, he was put under the tutelage of a water elemental Seer, who also tutored him with various subjects such as arithmetic, language and philosophy. When he was 16, he travelled with his master, learning more about the ways of the elementals and of the world. When he was 20, he and his master came upon a band of thieves. At this point Aoi was almost graduating to a Prestidigitator. During the conflict, his master died trying to protect Aoi as they were outnumbered and this was when Aoi's emotions got the best of her, and he used the full force of his elemental powers, causing the death of all the thieves and the loss of his left arm.

Aoi was in great depression for a while, and devoted his full attention into furthering his studies as an elemental. He studied under various mentors and learned things for himself. At the age of 31, he was able to achieve his Seer status.

Recenly, as he travelled on his way home, he came upon a stranger who was covered from head to toe. Inanise, as he soon found out, was also an elemental too, but unlike him, she did not like to use it and only manifested use of her power in times of utmost necessity. Aoi found this very curious and stuck around Inanise. He soon became close to her and treats her like his little sister.

Anything else: Aoi always wears a silver banlge on his right arm, a bangle that used to belong to his original mentor.

Description: (from post) " Aoi looked at the face of his mother, Ellryna Umizu. The woman was at least 5'2" in height, with a kind face and a slim body. Wrinkles line her face like waves and she does nothing to hide them....the woman laughed, her voice soft and motherly. Her white hair was done into a neat braid behind her that reached her shoulder. personality: Ellryna is a kind woman with a youthful spirit. She is patient and understanding, and has a strong but gentle way of discipline.

Description: (from post) "Aoi looked at the owner of the familiar voice, and saw his younger brother Zipan. He stood 6 foot tall with fair skin and long, black hair that was tied neatly behind him in a ponytail. His eyes were green, just like Ellryna's, and he wore glasses. On his left ear is a small, silver loop earring. He is slim, but visibly well-built, despite the fact that he looked scholarly. He was wearing a simple white shirt and black pants with the green tabard that was embroidered with gold leaves on the side, which was the uniform of the city's librarians, slung over his shoulder."
personality: Zipan takes after his mother, being patient and kind. He is also very polite and formal, but knows how to be casual when needed. He has a very strong opinion about things, but likes to hold it to himself.

Description: (from post) "...a young man who almost looked like Aoi stepped in. He stood 6'1" in height with blue eyes and short, spiked up black hair. His left eye had a scar running diagonally from it, and his iris looked like a duller blue color compared to his other eye. His skin was tanned, just like Aoi's. He was slim, but more muscular than Zipan. He was wearing the customary unifrom of the City Watch, which was black shirt, pants and boots, with a white tabard imprinted with the city's insignia, and leather bracers and shin guards. On his belt hung a sword in a carved, metal scabbard."
personality: Kanta is lively and cheerful, taking afer Aoi (and their deceased father). He is positive about most things, and likes to keep it that way. However, like Zipan, he has strong opinions about things, which he isn't afraid to voice out. Despite his boisterous personality, he is a patient man.

Character Name: Inanise Nox Noctis

Appearance: She is 5'5" in height and weighs about 120lbs. She has a pale skin and her hair is white in color with bangs and reaches the small of her back in length (usually kept loose). Her eyes are grey with a ring of silver at the edge of the iris. She usually wears a turtlenecked, long-sleeved (the sleeves are flared on the ends) blue shirt with a simple, black, ankle-length skirt and simple leather, knee-high boots. She also wears a blue scarf that covers her mouth and black gloves. On top of everything she wears a hooded brown cloak that covers everything.

Personality: Inanise is quiet and very soft spoken. She likes to keep to herself and is very innocent to the ways of life outside of the forest that she lives in. She is often deep in thought and often thinks too deeply of even the most simplest things.

History: Inanise has no memory of her childhood. She is an orphan who grew up in the company of a hermit elemental, who rarely used her own skill, and who was the one that gave her the name Inanise Nox Noctis. After seeing Inanise's powers manifest, she trained Inanise rigously with the use of her power while at the same time drilling into her head that she must not use her skills in the company of others. Inanise's training started from dawn till dusk, and rarely was she given a time off.

Inanise grew up knowing reading, writing and basic housekeeping skills, and the knowledge that people were unkind to the likes of her, and so she must keep her powers a secret. Aside from that, most of her knowledge pertains to the use of her element, although she does not use this power unless it is during her training.

When Inanise was 17, the hermit who had been taking care of her all this time grew terribly ill and, although he continued to teach Inanise of her powers, was bedridden. Inanise tried to make the illness go away by the means of her elemental, but the strain that this put on her teacher's body only made the hermit even more ill and soon, the hermit died. Inanise continued her training as was her caretaker's last will and by the time she was 20, she had a very good control over her elemental abilites.

She continued to live within the Hermit's cave, which was quite far from civilization. One day, however, an Elemental named Aoi came upon her while passing through the forest. Inanise was surprised at how Aoi openly used his powers and for a while felt uncomfortable around him (also because of how strange he looked). However, Aoi's positive personality soon warmed Inanise and the two became friends. She looks up to Aoi like family.


Anything else: Although adept at her powers, Inanise's lack of education in other areas really makes her seem like a child. She knows very little arithmetic and has a hard time communicating with others, and fitting into society in general.

Character Name: Mitsu Raihara

Element: Lightning (its not included so i'll describe it) -Lightning element manipulation is very rare due to the difficulty of using it. Lightning users are often weak because this element has almost no defense and mostly on offense. but the usual offense is shooting lightning from the hands; which is not very strong. but for those who mastered this element is almost impossible to defeat. but it requires almost a lifetime of training as a weak elemental. the person who mastered this element can use instant movement (movement with invisible speed) due to the reason of the body being one with the power. also massive lightning strikes from the sky, an armor made of lightning, and others.

He is around 5'8 in height with silver hair and blue eyes that turn metallic silver when using his power. He's slim and always have a sharp look in his eyes. he has black belts on his wrists and chains around his waists. (his clothes were like the one in the pic)

Personality: silent... only talks when needed.

History: as a child, he has no knowledge about his parents and became a test subject for a forbidden project that combines a human with another being. at the age of 4, the tests only awaken his power as an elemental and destroyed the whole facility and killed everyone. unlike others that only produces a little of his power when awakened and needs training to completely use it, his power woke up all out that destroyed the place. he lived and grew up only hate and death in his heart, he seeks out the true meaning of his life. because of hate, he regularly uses his power and perfects it in an early age.

Anything else: he acts normally in public. and because of his bishounen-like appearance, he's popular among women where he goes by.

He basically black all over, with a black shirt covered by a black coat and wearing black pants and black shoes. His taste for attires are simple and sometimes clueless.


Personality: He barely has any personality, as his entire being was almost stripped out of him, with only remnants of himself remaining (a result of his history). However, as time passed, Vincent's ways have slowly been developing, with his brother's inner being and mind slowly awakening. As a result, he has a split personality that varies from being shy, silent, child-like and polite to being loud, obnoxious, ecstatic, and sometimes eccentric, while still having that lack of being whole. Such strangeness could me interpreted as mood swings or utmost madness.


History:

Vincent grew up in a family broiling with activity. Both his parents have dedicated themselves to use their elementl capablities to help out the community. Which community per se varies from time to time, as his family traveled around the world. Their stays could take a year or two, but rarely more than 5, and so his family was constantly on the move.

Vincent had an elderly brother named Sid (a preferable shorter version of 'Sidney'), 3 years his senior. Vincent was gifted with the power of light, coming from his mother's side, while his brother Sid learned that he can manipulate water, from his father's side. They were sent into their proper mentors from elderly relatives, each upon reaching the age of 10.

Vincent studied for 3 years under an old hermit named Yoshi, and was given a magical staff to help him control Light, as well as a proven promotion as a Prestidigitator. Upon eagerly meeting up with his family in a town named Lior, and excited to show his brother what he learned, Vincent soon found out that his brother was in love with a certain traveler. At first, he was opposed to his brother's relationship, but was later able to tolerate her pressence - not completely though. There was a certain aura about here that was so negative to him, so suspiciously unsettling.

Vincent's 14th birthday has finally arrived, and all his close relatives, as well as his mentor, were gathering upon a vast grassland with mountains upon the horrizon. Vincent, Sid, and Sid's love, Rebeca, just came back from sledding along the mountaintop, and were walking across a dark valley towards the great plain where the party was being held.

Then the unexpected happened: Just as Sid and Rebeca came into a tight embrace, darkness covered the entire valley, and a dark portal opened from behind the woman. As their lips touched, Sid turned lifeless, as if his soul was sucked out of his body. Vincent was extremely surprised by this. Never had Rebeca shown any dark magic. She wasn't even supposed to be an elementalist at all! The couple started moving into the dark portal.

"You shall forever be mine..." Vincent came to the realization of what that suspiciously unsettling feeling was, as their powers were polar opposites. He summoned forth his staff, and tried to stop her with his Light, but he was of no avail. Her skills and power were well beyond his, and he soon found himself wound up in shadow, his staff dispersed.

He was running out of choices. His brother was slowly being taken away from him, and he was all wound up. "Brother! Brother! Wake up!" He cried desperately, in great peril.

"It's no use, kid. His mind has gone to a deep sleep."

Vincent cried in the darkness, and as tears fell from his eyes, he recalled a certain technique his master told him of, but warned never to use. It was a technique only accessible to those with special elements such as Light and Shadow (I hope they're accepted! ^_^). Pulling all of his remaining power together, his mind and soul were able to break free of his body, and reached out for his brother. As he warped into Sid's being, he saw a frozen world, barren. Sid's soul was nowhere to be found.

"Foolish child! I already have his soul! He shall provide my power strength, and soon, not even a guru can stop me!"

Rebecah's cruel laughter could be heard echoing from the infinite darkness.
Vincent was again bound in shadow, and as he thought that all hope seemed lost, a powerful light broke through behind him, and he later found himself held tightly upon Master Yoshi's arms. The shadow retreated, and the danger was gone. He was in tears as he passionately tried to break free.

"I apologize for only being able to retrieve you. I feel as much loss as you for a brother. He's my student after all."

His student? But I'm... He soon remembered that he was still in his brother's body, and trapped. His original body was nowhere to be found, and nowhere to be traced. It was as if Rebeca, his brother's soul, and his body, along with his being (describing who he was) have ceased to exist.

But he did not lose hope. He bid his parents farewell, and headed on a lone journey from town to town, trying to learn more of the shadow realm and wherever Rebeca could possibly be, but at the same time trying to cope with his new abilities that used to belong to his brother. After travelling for almost a year, he came along the great Laista City. Filled with elementals, and having strange rumors of disaster, the city made Vincent come to speculate of the possibility of Rebeca being there.


Anything else: Despite his 17 to 18-year old shell, Vincent is still about 15 inside. Since he's 'supposed' to be older, he tries to act mature and smart, despite his very nature of being clumsy and a bit childish. His control of water is pretty dangerous too, having incredible power already opened, but with little skill of using it. Vincent's memories before his brother was taken away from him were clear, but only in knowledge. Only remnants of his visual and audial memories are accessible to him, since most of them were left in his body. Instead, he recalls, bit by bit, memories of his brother, as his brother's mind slowly awakens. Vincent started out with barely any emotions at all, since he only carried traces of them and left most of them in his inner being back in his body as well. Still, as Vincent's soul and mind came to settle within Sid's reanimating being, he slowly brooded and developed the emotions he lost. More over, Sid's frozen emotions are being unlocked due time. All in all, Vincent's character becomes more lively at every passing moment.

Character Name: Alyssa Kye Aiken (First Middle Last)

Appearance: Alyssa is usually found wearing a knee length skirt or longer, with leg warmers, a tank top, and a jacket. If not, then anything that’s stylish, but comfortable. Her silver silky shoulder length hair is found loose, or occasionally tied up in a ponytail, so that it doesn't get into her dark blue eyes. She’s about 5’5’’, only a bit taller than her brother.

Personality: Alyssa is attracted to shiny things and anything that goes BOOM! Of the two, Alyssa is more mischievous, energetic, and has an uncanny way of knowing what Calib thinks. She’s an amazing cook, and likes to travel.

History: Having grown up in a family between rich and middle classed, Alyssa had a tough time growing up with her younger twin brother, Calib. She was constantly pressured to do her best in her studies, and was given little else to do. But when her parents got separated from Calib and herself, her life grew much harder. They often had to travel, since their relatives didn’t want to take them in. So Alyssa and Calib went from city to city, until they came to Laista a couple of months ago, and started life anew.

Anything else: Alyssa doesn’t usually stand for violence. That’s what her younger brother does. Alyssa has a brooch that her mother gave her, hours before both parents disappeared. She uses that to concentrate whenever she handles magic. Alyssa has come to suspect that the brooch is something far more important than just a memento of her mother, but can’t prove anything, so she keeps silent. She is usually called ‘Aka’ by Calib, and rarely by ‘Alyssa.’ She has some abilities that other Elementals have problems with. One of them being able to tell who's an Elemental from the tingle of her fingers, and they tingle a certain way with different Elementals. She also has some clairvoyance in her blood, and sometimes she can make out things in fire, but she can't see into the future.

Character Name: Calib Yuan Aiken

Appearance: Calib has loose silver hair, like his sister, that always threaten to get into his dark brown eyes. He’s muscular from rigorous training, and wears anything that’s clean and comfortable. Only shorter than his sister by two inches, he’s 5’3”.

Personality: Nearly a complete opposite of his older sister, Calib enjoys eating and sleeping, and has a remarkable memory. Calib is also more paranoid about things then Alyssa is, and sometimes has to watch out for her. He handles all kind of mechanic things, and is always making something. Although he seems to be stoic, he’s just as lively as Alyssa is at times. He loves pulling pranks, and making people laugh. He tries not to be so closed up in his own world, or so stubborn. He can be very sarcastic, up to the point where even Alyssa gets slightly annoyed.

History: Being the younger of the twins, in a family between rich and middle classed, Calib had it no better than Alyssa did. But not being an Elemental when everyone else in the family was, really disappointed his parents. If not for his sister, he would have crushed under his relatives’ pressure to do specialize in something, especially since he was non-Elemental. His parents were the only ones, besides Alyssa, who stuck up for him. But when their parents suddenly disappeared, he relies even more on Alyssa. Because of loosing his parents, whether they died or not, Calib became devastated.

Anything else: He does anything from archery to sword fighting to martial arts. Alyssa frequently calls him ‘Cal,’ usually to lighten up his mood. His nose itches when he's close to an Elemental. He, like his sister, has some clairvoyant powers, but he is still not an Elemental. He has good instincts, and has some premonition.
