Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels by English author J. K. Rowling about an adolescent boy named Harry Potter. The story is mostly set at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a school for young wizards, and focuses on Harry Potter's fight against the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry's parents as part of his plan to take over the wizarding world.

i have books 1-6 and i only read the first two completely. i read about half of the third one and started reading the fourth and fifth

I'm waiting for the seventh book to get here; it should be in my mailbox on the day it arrives in stores for sale. =D I started the first book in second grade, and I've been hooked ever since.

I'm going to sound like a freak but
I own 1-6, receiving 7 on July 24th. I own a second edtion of the 3rd and 4th books.
I also own tapes for books 1 and 3.
I've read books:
1- 6x
2- 5x
3- 8x
4- 4x
5- 2x currently reading it for 3rd time
6- 1x currently reading it for 2nd time

I, too am awaiting the arrival of the latest Harry Potter movie. I'm planning to stay home all day just so that I could start on it as soon as it comes in the mail. I've read the first 5 about two times (currently reading OOTP). I read the sixth book once, but a let a friend borrow it, so I am patiently waiting for it...
I wonder who the two main characters Rowling is going to kill!!
I believe that Harry should die, but during a heated battle with Voldemort, and they kill each other. I don't say that because I don't like Harry Potter. Trust me, I love him! I just think that it would make so much sense. I just feel sorry for Ginny because he finally decided to go out with her...
It's about time Ron and Hermoine hooked up dammit!!
Sorry I just started to trail from the original subject.... Uhh. GO SIRIUS!!!

Well, personally, I think it was a dreadful way to end the series.
Honestly.
[spoiler filled rant]Voldemort essentially kills himself? Seriously? All Snape's behavior is explained by unrequited love? Stupid. Stupid Stupid. AND HOW COULD SHE KILL ONE OF THE TWINS? What the hell is wrong with that woman? Those two are the only weasleys worth anything. Also, killing the owl? Could you be anymore completely arbitrary? And how could Ginny not protest naming her child Albus Severus? I would never allow that to happen, it's a terrible name. [/spoiler filled rant]

spoils in a wayOMG yeah. I think it got darker after book 4 but n to wost. I think I liked it better after that. but yeah poor teddy. a least he got Bill and fleur's kid to snog on. lolz. poor fred. the sadist death for me was dobby. poor dobby. I loved him.

I must admit i think harry will die- I'm reading the last book at the moment and i can't tear my eyes away from it!! Unfortunetly i can't read it on my own i have to share it w/ my sister, i'm dreading the end though!
I dojn't want such a wonderful serise to end, but i want it to!! ARHG so many confused feeling through out the book! I got really angry at Lupin (for those already reading the book) for sugesting he would leave tonx!!! She's pregnat!! adn harry's right james died from his family- he owould want lupid to be with His own family protecting them not harry.
Can't wait til the end!
