The Lotto of Sui Juris is a weekly lotto for the citizens of Sui Juris. It is however open to the public in order to gain revenue for the city, and to expose Gaians to our fine city.
This lotto holds a drawing every week, regardless of how many tickets are sold. Prizes are determined by ticket sales. To explain, I give 50% of the income to the first place winner, 20% to the second, and 10% to the third. I keep the remaining 20%.
There are two kinds of tickets used in the weekly drawing. Regular, and special. Regular tickets are for sale only, special tickets are given out for various reasons, and can not be purchased at all.
Regular tickets cost 10 gold, and are valid for the lotto drawing held that week. Once purchased, you will not be allowed to ask for a refund.
Special tickets will be awarded for various reasons. They are valid for one week, unless otherwise noted upon obtaining them. All citizens of Sui Juris(members of the guild) will receive 1 special ticket each week.
Let me give you an example of how all this works.
10 people buy 10 tickets each.
Total sales = 10(ticket cost) * 10(people) * 10(tickets per person) = 1000 gold
Prizes:
First: 500 gold
Second: 200 gold
Third: 100 gold
Total sales = 10(ticket cost) * 10(people) * 10(tickets per person) = 1000 gold
Prizes:
First: 500 gold
Second: 200 gold
Third: 100 gold
In addition to the weekly drawing I hold a monthly drawing. Tickets for this drawing can not be purchased. Each person who buys any number or regular tickets receives one ticket in the monthly drawing. Only one ticket a week may be gained this way, but you can earn a ticket each week in the month.
The prizes for the monthly drawing are:
First: 10 Special Tickets for each week in the next month
Second: 5 Special Tickets for each week in the next month
Third: 5 Special Tickets for the first week in the next month
Final note, you may buy as many or as few tickets as you want, including 1. However, you may not choose your numbers. They are sold in order.

All winners are chosen at random using the Gaia random number generator. If the same person wins multiple times in this manner, they win the highest level prize they won, and I redraw the remaining. No one person can win more than one prize in any one drawing.
