Um, you're alone on this. Sorry. High notes are what makes a trumpet useful to a band because they can carry the melody over every thing else.

I like the inbetween notes. They're not to high and not to low and they sound nice as well.

sassybrassy Um, you're alone on this. Sorry. High notes are what makes a trumpet useful to a band because they can carry the melody over every thing else. sorry guess im not so alone on this. Plus i dont always play in a band percei,in a jazz band every kind of note is needed and not all swing needs a high trumpet.

I like all notes but I prefer high ones. Just because it gives the feeling of better accomplishment...at least for me. (Especially when it has a great tone to it)

I play a marching baritone and personally, I could play the first parts, I just find third alot nicer, the low notes make the foundation.

I like higher notes because of the fact that when they are played right they have a unique sound to them verses low notes they just don't sound good to me.

I like both, but depending on the song, the lower trumpet part sounds cooler.

I like the higher notes but they are just harder for me to play. They are also nice to listen to when watching a performance video biggrin

I love playing a low note and really getting a great, full, dark sound. The lower you can play, the higher you can play. It's as simple as that. Low notes are a really good fundamental thing to work on, plus they make your lips feel really relaxed. I can play higher notes with a pretty decent sound, but I don't particularly enjoy playing them. High notes are just the result of fundamentals and mid-range to low-range playing, IMO.

I like low notes, especially pedal tones, but I like high notes way more, especially double G or C, and that's a bit ironic since I don't always hit the double C. Oh well.
