Haisyn Fierra Ifrit heaved a puff of breath at the dandelions in front of him, their seeds scattering on the wind. It was a nice day out... almost too nice. It was too quiet for the big Aeon, and while he wasn't necessarily in the mood to go spar with Zell, he wanted someone to talk with. Preferably someone new. Valefor's moodiness lately was... just starting to grate. Teh Zan
Quietly a young-ish looking but purely adult kitsusagi poked around the flowers. Everything was new too her. Too new. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been outside in this area, it hadn't been since her father had gone with her when she was young. Since the two of them looked nearly exactly alike she was very taken with him and could most certainly be called 'daddy's little girl'. She was polite and skittish but carefree and today she wanted to try and be independent, if only a little.
"Oh!" She cried, a little startled, as she seemingly bumped right into Ifrit. He was big and scary from her tiny point of view and she backed up instantly. Flicking her ears back she whimpered an apology. Haisyn Fierra Ifrit raised his great shaggy head, a waft of smell dislodged from him by his movements that smelled faintly of charred wood. His eyes slowly widened a bit at the young adult's reaction. It had been so long since someone had been afraid of him he'd forgotten how scary he might look to someone who didn't know him.
Small and skittish she might be... but she was very pretty. "No need for that, little lovely. I'm not as scary as I look." He smiled and winked at her in a rather jovial fashion. Teh Zan The young female kitsusagi peered at Ifrit nervously, still afraid of his appearance. However, he was most certainly kind and that was okay. She trusted that. "I'm sorry..." She muttered. She was a little put off by the wink and the jovial attitude, however nice he was. She had never met anyone outside of her family her whole life long so this was a new experience for her, but she wanted it and welcomed it. "My name's ... my name is Xanabel..." Haisyn Fierra Ifrit did not miss her nervousness and thought, perhaps, he would refrain from his desires to be a flirt until she grew more comfortable with him. He wasn't an a** all of the time, after all.
"I'm Ifrit, Xanabel. That's a very pretty name..." Well... most of his desires to be a flirt. "What brings you out here on such a lovely, breezy day?" Teh Zan ((SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONG HAAAIIII crying I was working on some art... crying ))
She found that a small flush crossed her cheeks and she shuffled a little, flicking her tails back and forth. "Ifrit..." She said the name aloud, as if confirming it's reality to herself. The name rolled off her tongue and she smiled up at him, "I like your name too!" She beamed at him childishly and sighed a little. "Just looking around... I've never left home before..."Haisyn Fierra Ifrit smiled at the compliment, though his eyebrows shot up at the last bit. "Never left home before? Hmm. Well... would you like an escort?" Enjoyable company, she seemed, little shy thing that she was. Teh Zan "An escort?" She replied in a questionable manner. She had no such idea what that meant and little Xanabel was easily lost. In fact, that was the reason she was roaming around now. Not that it mattered for she was too care free to fret much about getting back home. She'd get there one way or another. Still she was cautious but opening up a little more to the friendly kitsu.

'HQ?' she thought to herself wonderously. There was so much she had to learn! "Lovely!" She exclaimed instantly. And indeed it was. She wouldn't need to worry about much, and on top of exploring she'd have a grand time with her new friend. It all seemed far too good to be true and she was rather enjoying herself even though she'd only been out not even an hour and had known her friends for but a short time. She stood up cautiously of the other still though and looked around, "Where do we start?"

Ifrit pondered thoughtfully. "There's a little cave near here that's good if you get caught out in a storm and you're in the area. And a nice spot by the river between there and the HQ, and then I guess I can show you the HQ cabin. And then... Well, we'll figure it out then. Sound like a plan?" The rather large Aeon kitsu stood slowly. He was between the size of an angelic and a nightmare... should one of the more ill-dispositioned nightmares choose to try and pick a fight with him they'd find out rather quickly he wasn't one to be pushed around.

"Sorry Ifrit, but what's an ...HQ?" She figured it was best to figure it out sooner then later because curiousity was getting to her. She was most certainly small in comparison to that large aeon, however, she was small for her age and species anyway. She accounted it for the fact that her mother was a bobtail... however, it was also one of the reasons daddy had always been so protective of her. "Oh and yes... quite a nice plan... I've never been to the river either."

Ifrit blinked and then chuckled. "Ah... HQ stands for headquarters. It's not really a headquarters for anything in particular... but it is the most likely gathering place for any large number of kitsusagi, if you ever feel like finding someone to chat with or maybe to go do things with. A more sure bet than running across someone at random out here... though I'm glad you did happen to run into me." He couldn't help another charming smile. "I was hoping for someone to talk to myself."

"Oh." She was a little disappointed by the definition of HQ for she knew she wouldn't be going there anytime soon. Large number of kitsusagi? That sounded scary! Far too scary for her to go see just yet, especially not by herself. However, his next sentences made her flush a little. His charming smile was really attractive, however, still a bit scary for one as little as her. She offered him a smile in return, "Then it's a good thing I didn't go to the HQ..."

Ifrit flicked an ear forward, then back and the other forward. She seemed less than enthusiastic about the idea of the HQ. "Well, I can show you where the HQ is so you know where it's at. We can always go somewhere else. This mountain is pretty big."
He looked around thoughtfully. "Or... if you'd like, you can pick a direction. I know a few nice spots around to go sit and enjoy the scenery." She was definitely a shy one, and seemed rather unsure of her interactions. He'd go slow... if he went at all. It never hurt to make a friend, and for some reason he couldn't bring himself to risk hurting her feelings when she obviously didn't know much about the world yet. He might be a lady-lover but he wasn't heartless.

"Oh... I'm sorry..." She said noticing how he reacted to her words, "It's just... lot's of kitsusagi? It sounds... frightening... do you think you can show me something you like? Something pretty?" Her eyes grew a bit wider, and they held all the color of the sky with tints of green teal. She seemed to be like that. Mysteriously cute and quiet with hidden beautiful traits to her. Though she wasn't sure if that was true of anyone who'd grown up like her or maybe of everyone. It was still such a new world to her and she was enjoying it, mindlessly oblivious to the kind flirtings of Ifrit.

Ifrit shrugged and grinned. "No need to apologize. The world's a scary place when you're just starting to get used to it. I'm used to it so I don't think about it anymore." He moved over to sit beside her while he looked around thoughtfully. "Somewhere pretty... Hmm. River or a pretty cave?" It wasn't the same cave he'd mentioned earlier, but he knew one that had some crystal formations in the back. As long as she didn't freak out at his will-o-the-wisp flames when he lit a few so they could see in the darkness...

"A cave?" Her eyes opened wide. "What's that?" It sounded so interesting! Was it like some kind of weird forest? Or a plant or something? Maybe it was a hill where you could see the sky or the rivers below? Was it a type of house? It really got her mind rolling and reminded her how much she didn't know, which -oddly enough- didn't discourage her at all.

Her excitement and lack of knowledge about what a cave was combined to make Ifrit chuckle. She was beautiful and at the same time adorable like a little kit. He'd never actually run into anyone quite like her. "It's a... really big hole in the ground, only it's in the side of the mountain and it's more like a big room. Some caves have hallways and multiple rooms, like the one I mentioned."

"Can we go? Will you please take me?" She got more and more excited hearing about this room that was actually dug into a mountain! It was so odd and unique, just like she was. Boy did she have a different view of the world. But it was a refreshing one... one that didn't take granted of every day wonders.

Ifrit's charming grin widened a bit. Her almost childish delight in things was refreshing for him, too. He decided then and there that she was worth the time to befriend. "Of course we can go! Stick close now."
He took a few strides and waited for her to follow, moderating his pace so Xanabel's shorter legs could keep up with him. It wasn't a really long walk, but not a really short walk either, so when they reached the cave he sat down so they could take a breather.
The cave entrance itself looked like little more than a fold in the rock, though the angle of the sun lit the inside for at least a few yards. It was obvious it got dark rather quickly inside, though. "Well... here's the front hallway. Don't worry... I can get us some light inside." He just hoped his little suprise didn't scare her too much.

Pleased at how happy he looked to be going too, her ears perked up and she let her tails sway back and forth freely out of pure delight. It was difficult at first to keep up for her, but since he slowed down enough for her to follow, it became easier and easier and soon they were there. Instantly it caught her attention and she leaned towards it, looking, sniffing and inspecting nervously. Luckily she wasn't extremely afraid of the dark and was quickly reassured by his little comment. However, she was a bit tired and took the time to rest instead of reply, merely she smiled largely at him and nodded.

He stretched out on the ground in front of the cave, giving Xanabel a few minutes to catch her breath. One of his ears flicked as he thought, and he decided he'd go ahead and show her his little "trick" before they walked inside. It wouldn't be quite so... freaky out here.
"By the way... I have a special power." He held his paws up off the ground, elbows still resting in the dirt, and clapped them together. When he pulled them apart a little ball of flame danced between them. "Never need a flashlight with me around." He grinned and winked at her. Yes... this was much better than lighting up in the dark. "Don't worry, it won't burn you." It was just a will-o-the-wisp fire-light, it was different from the actual fire he could call up.
