 Souls in the winds must learn how to bend
The depths of my own geekiness run deep, I've calculated an up to date, death rate of characters from one of my favorite book series. 48% of all characters in the series die.

I tried to learn how to speak Elvish once. I made charts and everything. Unfortunately, I'm horrible with tongues. (I went to Spanish class for nine years, and can't say anything past hola)
Most of the time when I'm on the computer I have one of the LotR movies playing in that little box Windows Media gives you. I don't have it on right now because I'm going to bed in a few minutes, but I am listening to the soundtrack.
All my screen names are LotR based.
I got a life-size Frodo cardboard cutout for my birthday one year.
I once spent a week putting together a 500 piece puzzle, only to find out that Sam's face was missing.
RotK is the only movie that ever made me cry. (Well, I cried a little bit after Moulan Rouge)
I am most throughly obsessed.

For anyone who has heard of, but I doubt it, Dan Abnett, he writes sci-fi novels based around the Warhammer 40,000 universe. He writes mainly from the point of the Imperial Guard, a very infantry heavy army in game terms. I loved his Gaunt's Ghosts books so much I started an Imperial Guard army based around the characters in the books, complete with fuly customized models. It sold for quite a shiny penny, didn't play very well, but oh well, what do expect out of a 5+ save?

I tell everyone I know that if I ever get to name a baby girl--not my own, I don't really like children, myself--I would name her Laurana, like the elf princess/queen/royal mother in Dragonlance. (Gods, she was whiny at first, but I loved her.)
Love and Vale, -LD
EDIT: If I ever got another female cat, I would probably name her Laurana, especially if she had green eyes.

When I was in middle school, I used to make my friends dress up with me and we'd act out scenes from the books...I still dress up as book characters but only on special occasions ^_^;

Posted a poll on Gaia Online as to which vampire hunter would win in a fair fight: Buffy Summers, Anita Blake, or Sonya Blue.

Do books by one author count?
Well, I'd have to say my geekiest thing is definitely the fact I keep every last one of my Niel Gaiman books and comics and the like as safe as possible. I spass out when others touch them. I've special ordered the TV series and book he wrote on the TV series, along with his first book of short stories, and I really couldn't speak when I met the man. I even did an entire ten minute presentation on his books, because I adore them that much.

I always look things up that i read in books. Words that I'm not familiar with or just random things. For example Once i read a book that had a chamilion in it. I went and did a bunch of research on chamilions to find out exactly how they change color. nother book had a referance to Emily Dickinson so I went and researched her whole life. I'm pretty much a huge geek on like 6 different levels.
