Ok, so I knew that we were going to be a guild spotlight some week, but I didn't know when. Apparently it was this week while I happened to be sick. xd

We have added over 1000 new members.

A few people I could not accept. When I tried Gaia told me that "User does not have enough gold to meet the entry fee." It's only 5g to join. This may be some sort of error. Here are the names giving me this message so far:

I tried denying their request and sending them an invite.

Now, for every one who has just joined. There are literally HUNDREDS of you. A lot of you looked like good RPers but obviously I couldn't read all of your submissions because of how numerous they were. We're glad to have you. However, I am asking you not to jump the gun on your first day of posting. Here are some things that I have noticed in the past that new people do not do when they join. PLEASE DO:

1) LOOK, there are subforums! And each of them have stickies.
2) Before starting your own RP, read the other RPs first to see if you would like to join any.
3) Read other RPs to get an idea of what a good RP looks like.
4) If you post a question in the Questions, Answers, and Tutors forum, please also post in some one else's thread to try to help them.
5) If you post a character in the Character Development subforum, please put some effort/length into it like other people have.
6) If you post in the Character Development subforum, please also read another person's profile and give a thoughtful compliment or criticism.

What I am basically asking of you all is a simple give-and-take. If every one posts a new RP without joining any, all of the new RPs will fail. If every one is always asking questions but not trying to answer any, no questions will get answers. The people who join RPs, answer questions, and do other helpful things are not a mysterious ghost force at your beck and call-- YOU make this guild work. whee

And lastly...

PLEASE post any questions about the guild here for now. If the questions are all in one place that will help us answer them and/or spiffy up the guild to make things a bit clearer for every one. Nothing like a fresh set of 1000+ eyes.

That is a great question!
While we like for characters that are currently in an RP (especially an RP in the guild) to put that in their title, the answer is YES it's fine for you to post any character in there. I look forward to reading it.

NO you do not need a picture for your character. In fact we prefer that you describe your character with words. Pictures are good supplements, but it's your ability to describe your character with words that's more important to RP.

I also have a question about pictures. Are we allowed to use a picture as an overview, then describe it more thoroughly in detail as to what our charecter looks like?

Yes, you can create fan RPs. Just make sure it's set up nicely, like you should be trying to set up any RP!

Yes, you can make a thread about drawing people's character profiles. It goes in the main forum. I know the main forum is a little messy right now but we are thinking up ways to help change that. smile
