((The Meadow, the sequel! surprised )) Natitsuri Shiny?! There was hope! Ame barely had time to register what Sigal was saying before her mate took off. Smiling, Ame took off, running at her top speed in hopes to catch up with Sigal. Life was good.
Sigal meant to stop at the edge of the pond to drink, but momentum carried her forward, and she ended up accidentally cannon balling into the pond instead.

Ame arrived to the pond just in time to see Sigal splashing in. Figuring Sigal ment to do so, Ame followed after her jumping into the pond but making sure not to land on her mate.

Sigal burst through the water sputtering, but laughing. She hadn't really meant to do that, but it was really fun!
And since she was in the water, she could drink while she swam!
Or she tried to, anyway. But drinking was something best done on solid ground, because all she managed to do was inhale quite a bit of water, leaving her coughing.

Ame submerged from the water and began drinking in small sips. Hearing Sigal cough, Ame swam over to her.
"Are you alright?" She asked, worried that Sigel might have swallowed something bad.

"I'm...okay..." Sigal said between coughs. She really was. Or would be, once she got over this.
"Swallowed...wrong..." she explained, eyes watering slightly. She got annoyed at the irony--she was thirsty, but choking on water, and her eyes were making more of it!

Ah. So she had just swallowed some water wrong.
"Lets get you to shore." Ame said while moving Sigals front paws over her shoulders. She carried the choking Sigal back to the shore, which wasn't far away, and helped her out of the water.

"Thanks," Sigal muttered one the coughing stopped. She felt pretty embarrassed about that now. Almost drowning herself just because she had been thirsty, and a bit clumsy. She blushed deeply, feeling embarrassed that her mate had to rescue her for something like that.

"There now." Ame said once Sigal had stopped coughing. "You need to be more careful. And I didn't do anything in need of thanks." Ame smiled at her blushing mate. Sigal was so cute when she blushed. "I'm sure your still thirsty so have a drink." Ame was still thirsty as well and lowered her head to drink some from the pond.

Sigal stared at the water like it was going to create a huge tidal wave and try to drown her again. It didn't. She kept staring at it. It kept not creating a huge tidal wave to drown her with. So she finally gave in, and went to the edge of the water to lap some up. The water continued to not creating a huge tidal wave to drown her with. Sigal was pleasantly surprised by that development.

Ame looked at Sigal as she stared at the water for a minute or so before coming close enough to drink. Maybe she was scared of drowning again. Well, if that was the case, she had nothing to worry about. Ame was certain that she would never let Sigal drown.

When she was finished drinking, Sigal lay down on the bank of the pond. She didn't really want to go back in again, after nearly drowning herself. That was a real waste of a fun thing, though. No more swimming.
Well, she could live without swimming if the water kept trying to drown her!

Ame laid down next to Sigal. She seemed sort of sad. Ame would have to fix that. She couldn't stand to see Sigal even the slightest bit upset. Standing up, Ame tapped Sigals head with the tip of her tail and said "Tag. You're it."

Sigal blinked, taking a moment to realize what Ame had said. But then she leaped up, and started chasing after her mate.
"I won't be it for long!" she called, chasing Ame."

Ame giggled as Sigal took a moment for her tag to sink in. Seeing her mate jump up, Ame took off in the other direction laughing.
"Ha! Catch me if you can!" She called out darting around the clearing, making sure to stay clear of the pond.

"I'm going to catch you, don't you worry!" She shouted, chasing after Ame as fast as she could. This was much better than almost being drowned by the pond again.
