The only problem with Dragons is that their own moves, like Dragon Claw, Dragon Rage are all terribly weak. Except one move, but my memory fails me. Even with the STAB, they can be weak. Especially Kingdra. It doesn't even gain any powerful moves, but it is a great defensive poke'mon.
Astral, two poke'mon beat out Kingdra's dual types and they are Sableye and Spiritomb. They have no weaknesses. And both make it to the most powerful of trainers, Phoebe uses Sableye, although it is usually her last poke'mon because it sucks... and Cynthia/Shirona uses Spiritomb. However, I'm not sure how good it is, but considering that it's immune to at least two types, maybe three depending on its ability, and that it has no weaknesses, make it a very good poke'mon indeed.

I know, this'll sound sooo odd...
Teddiursa, Vulpix, Quagsire, Nidoking, Flygon, and Pachirisu.
In that order.
...I can't help it! I have a soft-spot for Teddiursa and Vulpix...I love Quagsire, Nidoking, and Flygon (from their respective games, each were one of my strongest on my team), and I love squirrels...

I think that one of the good things about dragons is the fact that their attacks are weak. Especially in Kingdra's case.
Er, wait, that didn't come out right... xd
Not the fact that the attacks they use themselves are weak, but that the dragon type moves are weak, if that makes sense.
Since a Dragon's weakness (and in Kingdra's case, its only weakness) is Dragon type moves, that proves to be an advantage in most cases in battle, considering those attacks don't do much damage. So unless your opponent uses a move like Dragon Rush (I think that might be the attack you're referring to??? Dunno, I don't follow dragons too closely), you're pretty much safe.
And there is nothing wrong with choosing your favorites, AloneWithFriends! That's what my dream team would be made of.
Ampharos, Ninetails, Lucario, Feraligatr (replaced with Kyogre if legendaries were allowed), Tyranitar, and Umbreon.
Although Umbreon's stats in the game are relatively bad as an offensive battler. Shame on Nintendo for that, considering it was one of the first releases for Dark type Pokemon. (And one of the first fully Dark types to be released, instead of duals like Houndour and Murkrow) I say an Umbreon hooked up with Toxic and Mean Look would be a pretty good combination when adding in a Confuse Ray and Last Resort. ^_^
I'd also like a team of Eevee evolutions, just because they're cool, but with the introduction of Glaceon and Leafeon in D/P, I can't choose favorites.

XD I know. I was hoping I could carry over my party from Crystal, since I've worked on that one more than my Emerald, but itsa no go. =P I do have a Skitty on my Diamond, though. If you'd like, I can see if I can make an egg of it, and trade it to you if I ever catch you online. ^^ I still have your friend code, I believe.
